It's been a while since we've been in. I've had mixed experiences. The one that stands out was the Romeo who allowed my pick up coffees to sit on the counter while he and a customer flirted right in front of us for a long period of time. No acknowledgement. Just ignored us. This was the first impression on our first visit. I couldn't believe it when he said the coffee that was sitting there all that time were ours! What a jerk! They were luke warm by the time he snapped out of it. That was during the pandemic. Unbelievable. That was not the only time this guy did something sketchball. He definitely had a female network situation going. Another time he lied about my order. I notice in the review below that lying is standard procedure. "Party of twenty"? Anything to brush you aside... So sketchy! It was enough to make me stop going for a long time. Also, the first time I had the lox and cream cheese bagel, it was amazing! Decked out with onion and fresh dill. Looked really pretty! Other times it was plain with a small portion of lox and cc. It would benefit this place if the owners trained all employees on customer service, and followed that...
Read moreOrdered lox and cream cheese. The hangover with double pastrami, beet latte and a granola parfait through door dash.
Lox and cream cheese was overly salty and the marble rye bread was not good.
The hangover bagel was so hard it was incredible and there was not much pastrami on it to make me believe I recieved double as I ordered.
The beet latte was so sweet it's not drinkable.
When i called cure coffee house i explained we weren't happy with our food and the gentlemen on the phone stated that they could not do anything for us because the order was 45 minutes ago through door dash and that's what made the food not good and the bagel hard.
So i threw the food away and an wiring this review.
Also this cost me $65 dollars through door dash for incredible food and terrible customer service.
A pricey learning lesson to find out this restaurant...
Read moreThe coffee is good and they are knowledgeable. It takes a solid 5-10 minutes per person just to order on the morning shift. We've waited now 25 minutes for just two lattes and no food. There is 1 girl working the register and 1 cooking food on a Sunday. Poor business model for the busy Sunday Smithfield shoppers.
Update: took 40 minutes to get the coffee total. I'm not sure which owner is responding but we came when there was a normal amount of people in Smithfield. There was not a party of 20+. There were about 10 people in the cafe. Maybe the location is confused for them since there's one in Norfolk. I will say it was busy. But one girl was taking orders while making every single coffee while the other lady made the food. A party of 20+ people wouldn't have fit. What happened was that families and normal people came in to get coffee...
