#BRICKWORKSBREWINGANDEATS I can't describe how good this place is. Everything I have tried has been an 8 or better on a 1-10 scale. Everything is homemade, including the dressings! If you want to get some of the best food in Delaware, come here. Get a sample of the Pucker Up! beer just to walk on the wild side!

I have tried the Pork Schnitzel, The Bandit chicken sandwich, Brisket Pot Roast, Key Lime Pie, Bacon Wrapped Bleu Cheese Stuffed Dates, Mac & Cheese with Blackened Chicken, Nacho Mama, Brisket & Bleu Cheese Spring Rolls, and the Duck Poutine. I am attempting to try something new each time I visit so I can see if I can find a favorite. All have been favorites! They also have a few daily specialties but I have ordered all off the main menu so far.

I have now tried a few more items. Mussels, S'Mores, Chili, and Apple Crisp are OK but the Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, Brisket Sandwich, Pineapple Cheesecake ROCK! They have different items on the daily extra menu so there is always something new to try. I also prefer the french fries over the pasta salad.

2017-03-12 The corned beef and cabbage with potatoes was AWESOME!!!! The chocolate chip cookie with ice cream was really good. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the area

2017-04-19 Had the Shepherd's Pie and it was delicious! Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake was also the daily special so I had a piece. Can I just say that I am never disappointed and I have a terrible time choosing between all the new items knowing how much I love some of the other items I tried....

First, I’ve worked in the service industry my whole life. I also love tipping 20% or more for good service. I am always polite to everyone. My family and I arrive and the hostess seats us. When she slaps our pile of menus down, I see a bunch of open booths right next to where she was seating us. I quickly asked if it would be okay if we sat at a booth. I could tell she had an immediate attitude, so I even said, “sorry, we’re booth people.” She quickly swings to a rag at a nearby table, wipes the food off of the booth table onto the booth seats and briskly walks away. Doesn’t say no problem, doesn’t wipe the seats, doesn’t move the menus. I wanted to leave, but the family was hungry. The waitress was better, but the bar was very low. The waitress was oddly not sociable or friendly. She was also slow and lacking in service. Does she hate booths too? Lol. She didn’t offer any refills, so I drank my wife’s water that she didn’t finish. My requested medium burger was cooked well done. Cook’s fault or did she write it down? It’s a shame, because we eat out quite a bit and the food was pretty good.

PS: The place was not packed by any means (at least not on the left side). We only saw two other tables...

I have come to this pub with my husband in the past and enjoyed the slower pace and very relaxed atmosphere. Today we decided to have lunch as a family, Mistake! We have many children between us and the youngest has a multitude of physical needs. We ordered our food and waited as our servers forgot about us in the very relaxed atmosphere of an almost empty place. Our son is quiet and very well behaved but today he had an accident and my husband took him home. I cleaned the area up and informed the waiter who was beyond rude. I then apologized to the other waitress when our food was finally brought out. She was also very rude and brought out spray cleaner and began to spray the table as we were eating. (The mess was on the chair and floor) she made rude noises and stomped away leaving my daughters and I very upset and wanting to go. We asked for to go boxes and another order to go for my husband and unlike the original order, these came out within 5 mins! The staff today was beyond rude and just embarrassing. The other customers had small children and understood an accident can happen. We left and will no longer enjoy the very slow relaxed slow atmosphere of this place. It’s sad, the food is...
