Abysmal service. Disappointing food. We arrived around 6:30 and were promptly seated in the room with the bar. There were 2 other tables in that room and 1 table in the blue room. 4 tables total. Really neat building and atmosphere.
Within the time we were there our server, who was the only server there. Forgot what drink one of the other tables ordered, forgot if we had ordered or not, forgot to bring another table a steak knife with their stake (to which they said that they always forget to bring a steak knife) forgot to put my appetizer order in, and forgot my steal knife (and then joked with me about how they always forget the steak knife and asked if I had heard them say that to the other table). My girlfriend avoids dairy whenever possible as any more than a little bit will cause her to be ill. When she asked the server if her appetizer could be come without the cheese on top the server replied with something along the lines of "sure, if you want it to be boring." We were both surprised as that is the sort of comment that is rude and unnecessary.
My girlfriends appetizer came out within a few minutes of ordering. I figured since everything is made to order that my crab dip was just taking a little longer. At 7:30 when our food came out, I asked about my appetizer and was told it was forgotten about.
My girlfriends main dish was pasta with a white wine based sauce. She said the noodles seemed to be made in house and were good but that the sauce was very watery. I had the steak with smashed potatoes and broccoli. 1/3 of the steak was inedible fat (see photo) which, for a 36 dollar dish, was very disappointing. The stake was juicey and cooked well but had no flavor or hint of seasoning. The potatoes and broccoli were well seasoned and delicious.
My appetizer was brought to me as a to go order. The crab dip was by far the most tasty thing ordered but it filled about half of the 8oz deli cup it came in, so about 4oz of dip for 16$ which was again disappointing.
To be honest we were both dumbfounded by the quality of the service. I have worked in customer facing positions and my girlfriend is herself a chef so we both tend to be pretty understanding but joking with your customers about how you always forget something and then forgetting it for another customer 20 mins later, forgetting to put entire parts of the meal order in (a recurring problem, based on other reviews), forgetting a drink order you just took and not even remembering if you took the order of a table you sat 5 minutes ago is just unprofessional. I didn't even get a chance to ask for a steak knife for 10-15 minutes after my order came out because the server disappeared into the back. Honestly do not understand why the server is not writing orders down if they can't remember anything??
Food is overpriced. Both in my opinion as the one paying and my girlfriends opinion as a chef. It is disappointing to try to take your significant other out on a nice dinner date only to be out 100$ that could have been spent getting more food and...

Had a reservation on Thursday for me & 3 colleagues at 12pm. I got there 5 mins early, I was seated in the room with the bar & seemed to be the only person in the restaurant. It took the rest of my party 10 minutes to arrive but during that time, I never saw a waitress. I don't think she even introduced herself, but I saw her name from the receipt.
Eventually, my colleagues arrive, the waitress comes to drop off waters and take our orders, and she comes across as incredibly rude and impatient. Again, we're the only people in this restaurant, so it was shocking to be rushed and huffed at.
We order easy stuff with no substitutions/modifiers. I ordered a French onion soup & a side Caesar. The menu clearly states that you can't get a $3 side salad unless you're also getting an appetizer or entree, so I ask for both & if that's alright and she looks at me like I'm stupid and says "they don't come together". I know that it's not free and I also know how restaurants work :/ I ordered both like anyone would & just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be an upcharge if the soup didn't count as an appetizer. It could've been honest confusion, but again her whole demeanor was snippy & condescending, so it kind of soured the experience.
The food comes, it's alright. At this point, there's another table or two & one takeout order during our visit, but I don't think we ever saw our waitress again but I might be misremembering. I know towards the end, we're on a time crunch to get back to our meeting and anxiously looking around for her, so when she leans over from behind the bar to ask how we're doing, we ask for the checks. They make it to our table, and shocker, she continues to act like we're bothering her by trying to pay and get 2 boxes. :( We had to flag her down again to pick up the cards. My colleagues felt she was angry just to have to see us and talk to us. We were also late getting back but oh well.
It's a really beautiful, unique spot & has incredible potential, but the service was so frustrating that it makes me not want to return. I understand that we all have bad days & know that some customers can be really annoying, but acting that bothered in an almost-empty restaurant is uncomfortable...
Read moreEarly Saturday , I went on line (TableAgent) to book a reservation for Sunday Brunch at 11:30. My sister and I arrived at 11:20 and were seated promptly. Water was brought out and we were given 1 food menu . The waitress stated that they were short on menu’s but she’d bring another when it became available. A few moments later the waitress returned and asked if we would like anything to drink. My sister ordered a Mimosa and I requested the “Bloody Mary Bar WITH crab and Tito’s”. . The waitress came back and said that they were out of crab , and asked if I still wanted the drink. I said yes and repeated that I wanted it with Tito’s. She returned about 10 minutes later with our drinks . My Bloody Mary came back fully mixed . No garnishes. I took a couple of sips and waited for her to return. When she returned 10 minutes later I asked if the Bloody Mary Bar was set up as advertised. She said ,”No, just regular drinks today”. She said that she would return in a FEW minutes to take our order. We waited almost a half hour . My sister ordered Bacon Avocado Toast on Wheat. I ordered Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast on Wheat. Ten minutes later the waitress returned to say they were out of Salmon. I ordered Bacon as an alternative. Needless to say , when the meals arrived they were ice cold. The toast was as hard as a rock (like it had been sitting). Our food arrived ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES after it was ordered . When the waitress asked my sister how everything was , she did so in a kind manner . “ Is there a reason why we have waited so long ?” The waitress said she was the only server there , and had tables on the other side of the Manor. A total of 8 combined . My sister also told her that the food was ice cold and we got a sincere apology. I was so excited to dine here when I saw the menu and read the reviews . Sorry, I will not be returning. Two pieces of cold toast , smeared with avocado and topped with quartered cherry tomatoes does not take an hour and a half to make . I recommend that you hire additional staff . Very disappointed , and...
