El Serranito Tacos and Bar — Restaurant in Smyrna

Hours of operation are not feasible! What good Mexican restaurant closes at 8pm?!?! NEVER going to make it in this town. Might as well close the doors now and save yourselves the pain. Food was ok .Only get 3 tiny tortillas with the fajita meal that needs at least 6..not sure how much you can fill a tiny shell but wow had to pay extra for more to be able to eat my meal I paid $25 for ... chips were stale and dip has a layer of watery something on the top and didn't quite mix back into the cheese. We WONT be going back here especially since the hours are so unreasonable!!!! Listen to your customers PLEASE!!!! YUO DONT CHANGE AFTER HEARING this not only in person but on your website reviews. We need a good Mexican place in Smyrna but you let most of us down, not just about to liquor license BUT the food quality, portion size and freshness. I had seen several positive reviews of this restaurant on the Smyrna/Clayton Facebook group. Hubby and I decided to give the place a try. Everything about Tacos and Bar El Serranito was absolutely wonderful! We were greeted by the very friendly hostess and shown to our table. Our server Jayara immediately came over, bought us chips & salsa and took our drink order. She answered any menu questions we had and took our order. My husband ordered the steakhouse burrito and I ordered the Quesadilla Mexicana with chicken tinga. Jayara soon returned with our food. The plates were amazing! The atmosphere is grand. The service is terrific and very personable, but that's not why I'm here taking time to write a review. Sure, the atmosphere is important, and the customer service was great. The food. The food is downright incredible. Now, to be fair, most of the meals are pretty pricey, clocking in at 18-21, tortas going as low as 16. That said, they serve tacos for 4-5 dollars each in either American or Mexican style. I got two of the steak and chorizo tacos Mexican style, loaded them with both the red and the green sauce, and devoured. After one bite, I knew it was a done deal.
