It’s unfortunate that I have to provide such a poor review. I honestly wanted to give this place a try since my friends love this place, but the customer service was the worst and discriminatory.Their was ( 1 ) customer in front of me that purchased an entire platter of meat ( they were not going to make any more since it was close to closing). Two women came in nearly 5 mins after me and started in the buffet line first, then entered the line behind me. I stepped out of line briefly to grab a second tray and got back into my spot. The customer behind me noticed that the selections were getting low and started speaking in Portuguese (which I do understand slightly) asking if there was a specific type of meat left. Then I understood her saying something about “going first” and then the server laughed and reluctantly said “ok”. I didn’t realize at the time she was speaking about going first before me!!! As soon as the guy finished before me she jumped in front of me and claimed that I skipped her ! She had the audacity to argue with me about it . The server nor any of the staff acknowledged that I was there before her. They all began to speak in their language and sided with this woman. I know that I stepped out to grab a tray , but everyone knew that I had been waiting and that I arrived before this woman but this place is not about good customer service or fairness, they’re about favoring their own kind which is discriminatory. I understand that most of your patrons are Brazilian and that’s great, but to allow someone to skip me because your portions were low....
Read more3 stars I gave is for the amount of food you get for your money and nothing else. If you want quality Brazilian churrascaria experience, head about 10 miles south to Buckhead and eat at Fogo De Chao. Your taste buds will thank you. Your wallet? Not so much.
If you have any cardiovascular problems, stay away from this joint. Their #1 ingredient in their dishes is SALT. Yeah ! With capital letters. I drank 3 big cups of diet coke with my meal and now I am back at my hotel and drinking water nd ginger ale like crazy. I am still parched.
For the 26 bucks I paid, I think I got a lot of food, but should I have eaten it all, is a question for the ages and the answer is a BIG NO. If you are coming for quantity over quality, yes this might be the place for you and if you are like that, stay away from the BBQ meat. All pieces I got were dry to no end. One piece I could not even chew without hurting my gum. Also, they are salty as hell. The meat at the buffet section are better in my opinion and more than enough for your protein fix.
For your sweet tooth fix, they offer almost nothing. A bowl of fruit, which was composed of melons (very unripe and unsweet) and grapes, A rolled cake of some kind, which left a lot to be desired from a cake and a very watery ambrosia salad wanna-be. After eating that much of salt and no sweet, you will be looking for an ice cream parlor or something after you leave this place.
If you are staying at the hotels nearby, like I do, it is an okay place to get a quick bite but do not expect the real Brazilian...
Read moreI would love to give a full review of the food but unfortunately the staff made it impossible to do so. My husband and I came in for a quick lunch and were greeted, being the first time here the waitress was nice and explained how the buffet works ($17 for the buffet and priced by the pound for the grilled meat) - I started to get things from the buffet and my husband stood in line to get grilled meats. This is where things went wrong - at that point he stood there 1st in line for over 5 minutes before the waitress awkwardly just said "He'll be here in a min" referring to the grill guy. It was not just min. Grill guy just proceeds to stand around talking, finally after a few more min, I have walked over and asked if everything was OK, if he had been helped... nope, not yet. I take my food from the buffet and sit down. This was my mistake. Because now we either pay and don't eat or sit there awkwardly while someone eats, because my husband walks away from the grilled meat station, and another customer comes up and the grill guy jumps into action. The food I did get to try was decent but don't expect much service if you don't look like you belong. Even the waitress when my husband checked out was advising how to leave a tip but said "but I don't guess you will today." Rio is around the corner, bigger selection, grilled meat is one price for as much as you want - and I've never felt out of place or had unfriendly staff there before. No wonder Rio is...
