Read moreBy looking at the reviews I am not the only one with complaints on this McDonald's. I was a shift manager at the Gainesville McDonald's about 5 years ago. My employees along with myself were very professional. We were attentive and friendly to our customers at all times. I came a couple of days ago and thought maybe I just came on a bad day. Managers yelling at employees in a very condescending tone, employees with the deer in headlights look, Managers talking bad about employees right in front of customers and also getting my order incorrect and not in a timely manner. So I thought let me give it another shot today. Today I had The customer in front of me get angry because the cashier didn't come take his order after we both had been standing there for at least 2 to 3 minutes. The cashier should have told us that she would be right with us instead she said nothing basically ignoring us. He storms off ( don't blame him one bit), I went ahead and order when she finally comes to take my order. I go get my tea and come back to wait for my food. The cashier asks me may I take your order. (There is only me and some on else in the lobby) I tell her that she already took my order and she looks at me and plainly says I don't remember that. Wow. Regardless of that I sit and watch the employees and manager as I am so glad that I never worked at this store as the things that is wrong with this store is too long to list. Read moreIt seems I needed a reminder to why I don't come to this location anymore and I got it right away! Walked into the restaurant which was a ghost town inside. NOT ONE customer inside. Placed an order on the mobile app. 10 minutes passed. 20 minutes. 30 minutes. NOTHING! Employees walk by you and just stare at you, not a word. After 40 minutes, they decided "the system was working now" and they were going to start working on it. After 40 minutes of being the only customer in the restaurant and no service I decided to ask for a refund and walk out. NOPE! The careless manager said I had to get it from the app, even though there's no way to get a refund once the order has been paid. I walked out EMPTY-HANDED, my money STOLEN! I'm usually calm and composed so I didn't make a scene, but I was furious! If I wanted to get robbed I'll just give my money to the millions of scammers that dial my number every day. At least they act friendly when you're speaking to them. I expected better from a member of one of the largest corporations in the world. To management: I don't expect you to care about losing one customer, but keep this business attitude and it'll come back to hurt you.
