Micheline's Pita House Solana Beach — Restaurant in Solana Beach

Good food but I think the staff is either deaf, or lazy. I show up 1/2 hour before closing at the Solana Beach location. I could go anyplace in the neighborhood for a quick dinner but I go here because I can get a nice salad in a real "bowl". I've been to this location 50+ times since they came to this location. I ask for my meal "for here" and say "in a bowl". They give me a stupid plastic clam shell piece of garbage, and when I say I didn't ask for plastic, the same woman who has made my 50+ salads for years in a bowl, she tells me they are only open another 15 minutes when it's 25 minutes till they close. Like I can't eat a salad in 25 minutes. One of the biggest reasons I came here, and always do, is because I don't have to eat my dinner in a wasteful, non-recyclable, non-compostable piece of landfill that lasts for a 1000 years, plastic, garbage container. If you can't give me a bowl and tell me, I could say thank you and leave, but you ignore me and then give me that piece of trash. This sounds petty trite, but I don't care what anyone else thinks, its annoying to me and it's my right to not get disposable plastic whenever possible. If I can buy any of my foods in any container except plastic, I do. I won't be back. Next time I go that shopping center, I'll just bring my reusable produce bags and buy the ingredients at the grocery store and make it at home. Their veggie plate is amaaaazing. The best veggie plate in San Diego. I like veggies in general so mostly I order the veggie plate at restaurants. Normally restaurants are not paying much attention to their veggie plate as it’s not popular or so. But today, I am so happy with what I ate. Went to get lunch to go looked at the menu board. Ordered 2 pita sandwiches to go. I asked I would like 3 side dishes on the 1st order . The employee stated that it was 2 dollars per side. I told her I never paid for sides. It came with the price of the pita sandwich. $9.50. All of a sudden she couldn’t understand what I was saying. I walked out frustrated that she was conning me on my order, never paid extra for sides at this restaurant, or she doesn’t understand English.
