THE WORKER WENT STRAIGHT FROM THE BATHROOM WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS, AND STARTED PREPPING MY SANDWICH WITH HIS BACTERIA LACED BARE HANDS!!!
I placed an online order for pickup at the Solon, Ohio Penn Station, and arrived early. Due to the high walls, I didnât notice at first that the employee preparing the sandwiches wasnât wearing gloves. It wasnât until he left the sandwich station and went directly to the bathroom that I realized he had been preparing sandwiches without gloves. I said to myself, I know this guy did not just leave in the middle of prepping my sandwich to use the bathroom. I tried to talk myself into believing he would wash his hands thoroughly and put on some gloves.
He came out about 30 seconds later WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS, and after touching the BACTERIA-LACED bathroom door handle, he immediately began assembling my other sandwich WITH HIS BARE HANDS! I looked over the wall, and saw he was making one of my sandwiches. He placed it in the toaster and then went right back to the bathroom to finish whatever he was doing.
I walked out of there in absolute disgust and anger. As I was leaving, I saw an elderly couple walking in. I was so furious that I forgot to warn them that the person preparing their food IS IN THE BATHROOM AND WILL BE HANDLING THEIR FOOD WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS.
If you're going to eat at Penn Station, do it at another locationâand donât let them direct you to the other side of the store to wait for your order. WATCH THEM AT ALL TIMES. Not only will I never order from here again, but I will NEVER order ahead anywhere, because had I not got their early, I would have never known how my sandwich was prepped. My wife and I ordered online, paid online, and went to pick it up when it was said to be done. Upon arriving I was given my credit card receipt to sign, and then told that since the phone number on the order wasnât mine I needed to call MY WIFE for her to tell the manager that the order was legit because it was over $25, remember the manager already had me sign the receipt to a order that now he wants confirmation is legit as he keeps saying. Then tried telling me they were not starting my order without me calling my wife, after this incompetent idiot who shouldnât be aloud to touch the food let alone run the business with the obvious lack of common sense. How many people place a order and pay for it then show up to get it if itâs fraudulent? Then this guy proceeds to argue with me while his employees are obviously agreeing with the sense Iâm trying to make to this guy because they were just shaking their heads at him and laughing. Iâm not trying to put this business down, food is usually good, it just takes multiple times to get it right, or you have to deal with a manager that you really have to question the level of competence of this man running a business handling my food.    Read moreMy husband and I ordered two Rueban subs (clearly their Ruebanâs come with 1000 Island dressing), and Swiss. We ordered through DoorDash and we said on the app we wanted extra dressing. We even CALLED the restaurant for extra dressings and weâd pay if it was extra. The guy said heâd FOR SURE give the extra 1000 island. We receive our food 20 min later from DoorDash and there was NO dressing at all, let alone any sides of dressing. We called back and the same rude man answered saying he forgot the dressing even though it not only stated it on the dash app, it was even on the ticket on the bag, AND we called about it to. So 3 different ways of telling them we wanted extra sauce and not even a drop of 1000 island on the subs. Itâs not even about the sauce really tbh. It was the way they handled the phone call after we got our order because I called them back to inform them kindly they not only forgot to put the 1000 ON the sub (which it already comes with) plus the extra and he cut me off and said he forgot like it was no big deal then as I was talking he just handed the phone to someone else who said can I help you and was basically told to F off.
