So, our friend has been screaming at me for months to try this joint in Somers Point out. He has been patronizing this guy since he was underground and cooking out of his own kitchen....My girlfriend's family has a shore house in Ocean City, but we're not down there that often. . Well, we were down there last weekend and were able to score a pie reservation for Friday around 6:30pm. You see, you can't just call and order it, you have to reserve your pie and date/time to pick it up. Apparently the reservations go fast (or maybe its the reservations at dinner time), but if you're lucky (like we were) and jumped online right when they "opened" up the reservations for the week, you're good. . They only have 4 types of square pies and one special one (the black truffle one at the time). At our time of ordering, they had regular cheese (about $30 w/tax), a black truffle pie (about $43 bucks w/tax), a vodka sauce pie (about $32 w/tax) a pepperoni pie (about $35 w/tax) and a vodka sauce pie (about $36 w/tax). . The prices on the website will tell you for the plain pie we ordered is $28.50 plus $1.79 tax for $30.29 total. So, it's a few dollars more than a Mack and Manco pie for what they charge on the boardwalk (I think they are like $26 bucks now for a pie). So it is what it is. Difference in ordering is....Well, Manco you can call and get a pie. S&F is a thing....Good thing? Bad thing? Who knows. We were driving from Marlton down to Ocean City (about 45min-1hr) ride, and the stress of getting there on time, with rain and bad weather, idiot drivers, etc...was stressing us out. Was it worth the stress? I guess so. We enjoyed it. . Would we pontificate it the way our buddy did? No. It was similar to Brooklyn Square in Jackson NJ (same distance to us). Was it worth the stress? I guess, maybe? We didn't hate it. We give the guy respect keeping it just like him and a helper. Small batch type of pie. . Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We thought the pie was a little "dark" and crispy for us (we won't say overcooked), and we wish there was a bit more cheese, but the sauce was delicious, the dough was crispy, yet light and airy. . If you're looking for something new down by the shore and don't want to deal with the old standards down there, then by all means, try to score a pie and see for yourself! I would've loved to try a pepperoni or a vodka pepperoni, but im the only one that likes that in the family and I'm not spending that just for me.... . We're glad we tried it and glad we tried a new joint. . There is no parking lot, street parking is touch because it's right across the street from Charlies Bar. The girlfriend ran in and got it, said it was cute inside and they did have. a few tables to sit and eat...

PRO’s: restaurant was clean owner was nice pizza crust and homemade pizza sauce were both very tasty
OPPORTUNITIES: it would help if someone behind the counter greeted you as you walk in to confirm your name and pizza order. As it currently stands, no one greets you once you enter the restaurant so you hope they have not forgotten your online pizza order all the indoor table seatings were occupied by customers waiting for their takeout orders so if anyone wanted to dine in, they could not do so only 6 pizza choices with pepperoni being the only “meat” ingredient offered on a pizza - would love to have an option to order other ingredients such as onions, green peppers, sausage, etc, pepperoni made the pizza taste very salty would like to have a little less “char “ on the crust as we both did not like the slight burnt taste it would be nice to have a “comment” box when placing your online order to provide general information/requests, such as ordering a pizza “half and half”, etc.
Overall, the pizza is better than most of the other pizza places around the local area. This is a new restaurant so I am guessing they are still working out the kinks. Next time we will try a different type of pizza at this place to see how it tastes. I would recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t...
Read moreMy husband had heard about this place, and he just had to try it. So, on a recent visit to Atlantic City (a 20 minute drive from the pizzeria), we decided to give it a shot. A great experience from start to finish! The online ordering process is streamlined and simple. The locale is clean and tidy. The workers are friendly and welcoming. The pizza is EXCELLENT! You can tell they're using high-quality ingredients. The dough reminded me of my mom's focaccia, dough-y but light. The traditional sauce was very flavorful-- tangy from the tomatoes; and they use just the right amount of mozzarella. Before serving/boxing, each pie gets a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of pecorino, and a sprig of basil, which adds to the flavor and smells like heaven. I, personally, avoid gluten, but I couldn't resist taking a bite because it looked and smelled SO good. We actually went back the next day and tried the vodka sauce pie. That was also delicious but with less tangy-ness. On that trip, we ate in the restaurant, and the worker went out of his way to make us feel at home. I know this will now be a routine stop for us any time we visit that area of the Jersey Shore. FYI, if you're looking to try a pie, you have to go to their website and pre-order by reserving a slot. If you're looking to try a slice or two, you can order in person, but when they run out,...
