Surfside Casual Furniture in Somers Point is a bad business!!!!! This rating should be a ZERO.
We took my mother in law, a senior citizen, to purchase (April 2023) a bed frame with warranty. When we opened the box, parts were broken and missing. We immediately called STEVE, the sales rep to report this and followed up by emailing pictures. First, he lied and he sold her warranty that does travel to where she lives. For a month, STEVE went on to lie on how he could resolve the issue we didn’t not receive replacement parts or the missing piece, he made promises he wasn’t authorized to make and no resolution was ever followed through. We asked for the manager repeatedly and he hides never getting on the phone or coming out of the backroom. Even after multiple calls and visits to the store. We ended up doing their job returning the entire bed for a full refunded (May 2023). They processed a full refund on the spot. The bed is left at the store. 2 hours later that same day STEVE charges my mother in law’s credit card again for the full amount (bed and warranty) claiming we broke the bed. However, we documented the bed being broken, emailed pictures, called the store and reported, returned the bed to the store for them to visual see and take possession of the bed again. Mind you STEVE is charging her the cost of the bed and WARRANTY again. She has no bed which the warranty covers!!!! The store should not be in business. They take advantage of people. They don’t stand behind their products or warranties. They falsely sell warranties. Poor customer service. Clearly no oversight of management. This guy runs a muck with no repercussions. We reported this business to the police, mayor office, and BBB. I hope this review prevents the next person from being scammed by them as well.
Update: 11/18/2023 To this date, they owner continues to lie. The manager watched us clear everything from the flat bed and tethered the boxes down. Proof is in the pudding. We provided photos, call logs, all documentation and proof of their continued lies to the credit card company who in turn fully refunded...

I really needed a new bed and was excited by the selection they had once I got inside. The sales rep, Steve, answered all my questions about the Beds' differences in build and pricing. The quality was great for the mattress and box. He made my decision of which bed I wanted much easier than I could have hoped for. The bed was exactly what I need for my back issues and shortly after picking out which bed I wanted, the process of paying was seamless and not clunky. The sales rep Steve also answered all my questions about the bed set and delivery, which they got to me 7 days later. I haven't slept that well in a couple years, the bed is a serious upgrade for me! The delivery guys were also very professional and friend guys. I am very pleased with my shopping experience with Surfside Casual in Somers Point from the moment I walked in the door to purchase to delivery. I would recommend them and the Sales guy...
Read moreThis purchase was a nightmare ! Buyer beware, we ordered a custom Barkman table on 5/19/2026 , from Somers Point NJ location, that was delivered today. The day of the order we were told delivery 6-8 weeks and this was noted on our receipt. Week seven I reached out and was told there was a set back due to paint samples. At that time was not told how long after some back and forth was told the set back would be about 4 weeks.
There were a few more calls and communication with customer service and our sales rep, each time told something different. Table was delivered today 15 weeks later. Last communication with Steve he continued to argue that we were told 8-10 weeks. When I was hanging up he did continue to curse. Paper work was changed without our knowledge. Both sets of receipts are attached, delivery men (who were very nice) gave us the updated 8-10 week paperwork.
It's a shame that we weren't quoted the correct time frame from the beginning, or at least honestly updated along the way and had to have a sales person argue with...
