To be honest, we stopped in because we didn’t feel like cooking. The hostess was nice that sat down at a booth and a waitress was young and new. We had ordered our food and we wind up getting the salad bar with the soup and a main dish and some kids meals and drinks. The Salad bar was OK. The soup was not hot at all. We ordered an appetizer the appetizer came out. We had just sat down with our salads and our Luke warm soup and mean food out already I understand that it’s a restaurant and they try to get out their food quick as possible, which is great but it wasn’t until we got our food and you can tell everything was kinda like instant the fish breading was very thick and hard And a potatoes were instant no flavor. Now let’s come to the kids meals. All the kids ordered the same thing except for the sides. The pizza looked like it was not cooked at all. It was white the dough didn’t even look. Our waitress came over to ask if everything was OK and we told her that we were not satisfied with the soup or the main course. So in her retrospect, she offered us two free desserts so he said OK. The manager came over to the table and said that only one Dessert would be free I believe her name was Dottie and she seemed very rude. I just looked up and said OK not to mention we didn’t get the correct dessert that we want but at least it was something. The manager didn’t even offer to take anything off the bill just a free dessert. There was two entrées that were the same and only one free dessert. Then our waitress came back to us, and if you tell something is wrong, she was being rushed by the manager. Something was wrong with that scenario the staff all young the manager rude. I personally Would never go back. For the price of two adults and three children and their children ate off children’s menu and there was one appetizer ordered two entrées, two drinks and the kids drinks come with their meal. The price was very high and not worth it. My honest opinion is I feel like the manager Should have offered at least to take one of...
Read moreNot quite sure what the hype is about. it reminded me of frisch's big boy that are common all over ohio. We needed dinner on the way through on a long road trip and my wife picked it because they have a salad bar. Turns out the salad bar closed at 9pm on Monday despite the restaurant being open until 11pm. We are in the midst of "supply chain shortages", but they were also out or baked potatoes. My kids enjoy their meals (one had mushroom & onion swiss burger with a salad and the other had chicken fingers with onion rings and a salad),but my wife's and my meals were unappetizing. I had the ham steak with mixed beans and homemade potato chips. The ham was good, but salty (a country ham so that's to be expected). However they chips weren't crispy and the portion size was minimal. The mixed beans were very over seasoned with black pepper (and I love having a lot of black pepper). My wife had the fried cod, and although the fish was passable the tartar sauce was too heavy on the pickles and vinegar. She had a salad and mashed potatoes with gravy, which were bland and then just over salted (both potatoes and gravy). It seems that the thinking is that if the food lacks flavor just add salt and/or pepper. We got the famous cookies and a slice of strawberry pie to go. When my daughter had the first cookie and was asked how it was here answer was simply, "it's a cookie". I tried one and it was just plain and dry and left a taste of flour coating my mouth. Maybe with a lot of milk (or coffee) to dunk it in would be helpful, but it should stand up on its own. My wife had one whole and three partial strawberries on the pie which was not carefully cut, the crust was flat, and she had to go back and ask for the whipped cream and utensils. Our waitress was pleasant to us and checked on us regularly, but we witnessed her be rude to a couple of coworkers. The food was filling and edible, but nothing spectacular and a...
Read moreMy husband and I wanted to go out for breakfast Sunday morning. Being that we really don't have many options in Somerset, PA, we went to Eat n Park for Sunday Brunch. When we arrived at approximately 9:30 am. Upon walking to the door, there were many people standing there waiting for a table. We just thought they were really busy. Granted, there was a party of 17 waiting for a table as well as 6 other families. The Host/Hostess had no idea what to do. They were trying to seat people, slowly, at their snails pace when a server came out and started putting names on a list. We walked up and gave our name to the list. A different server then walks up, she addresses another party, and seated them. Two more couples walk in and get seated right away by the same server. I spoke up and said there's a wait list, and you just sat 2 couples that came in behind us. She said," I'm just trying to get people seated." They finally seat us at the first booth, right behind the host station. That is not the most desired seat, but we were already upset and waited long enough, so we took the seat. It seems as if there's no real plan for seating guests there, and if there is, none of them followed it. As far as service at the table went, that was normal. The buffet was decent, but they took away some items that they always used to have and replaced with others that I'm not real keen on eating for breakfast; like fried chicken, stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes. The cost for the two of us to eat the buffet and 3 orange juices (my husband had 1 refill) was $45 plus our tip, of course. It's just not worth going out anymore, especially with the lack of caring and laziness that shines through in most younger employees and the expense. Most likely won't return in the...
