A Culinary Misstep at Somerset: A Review with Hope for Improvement
My recent dining experience at Somerset left me with mixed feelings, to say the least. While I've had decent meals at this establishment in the past, my most recent visit left much to be desired. Allow me to share my thoughts in greater detail to provide you with a clearer picture of my experience.
I decided to indulge in a classic burger, a dish that, when done right, can be a real treat. Unfortunately, this time around, it fell far short of expectations. The patty, disappointingly, arrived at my table undercooked and seemed almost half-raw, which was a stark contrast to what I had anticipated. This was a significant letdown, as the taste and texture of a properly cooked burger are essential for a satisfying dining experience. Additionally, the fries accompanying the burger were served lukewarm, which only compounded the dissatisfaction.
Now, I should clarify that I don't mind waiting a bit longer for my food if it means it will be thoroughly cooked and served fresh. After all, a little patience can often be the key to a fantastic meal. My previous experiences at Somerset had led me to believe that this was a place that valued the quality and taste of their dishes. Regrettably, this particular visit did not align with that expectation.
It's important to note that I have enjoyed decent meals at Somerset before, and I am hopeful that this was just an isolated incident. I understand that even the best of restaurants can have off days, and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the kitchen staff were having an off day or were overwhelmed with orders. I sincerely hope that my next visit will be a more positive one and that the issues I encountered this time will be rectified.
In conclusion, my recent dining experience at Somerset was far from the enjoyable experiences I've had in the past. The undercooked burger and cold fries were disappointing, but I remain hopeful that this was an exception rather than the rule. I look forward to the possibility of returning and having my faith in the restaurant's quality restored. For now, though, my recommendation comes with a hint of caution based on my most...
Read moreWent through drive thru at 7:16pm, ordered a Big Double Tray with no cheese, grilled onions, pickles & mayonnaise with a double onion ring & strawberry milkshake. Instead, I received a Big Double with cheese, raw onions, one pickle and mayonnaise, onion rings and milkshake. I also ordered a Big Double Tray with everything including cheese, onion rings, cheese bites and a caramel milkshake. Instead, I got a Big Tasty with no cheese, grilled onions, pickle, lettuce and no tomato, onion rings, cheese bites & caramel shake. Also only one spoon for two milkshakes and no ketchup packets. So disappointing and frustrating to not get what you order and pay for, especially when it’s through the drive through. I’m not making another trip to ask for it to be corrected. It’s not worth my time or gasoline. Lesson learned Cook Out, you...
Read moreI susually love cookout but the one in somerset kentucky is the exception. Had to wait for employees to decide to come take my order from the back. Once I got my food they forgot my fries and had dissapeared to the back again. Had to wait several more min. To get someone's attention. And was told I had to wait for them to make fresh fries.... also every time I've ever went to cookout I get a pretty big cup but this time they gave me a small with my meal and were so hard to get to come out of the back I never got a refill. Lastly the lady that took my order kept going on about how she hates beef and is tortured by the gross smell of hamburgers all day. Not a very good for sales. The whole time we ate our meal we were looking across the street at Chick-fil-A and wishing we went...
