I love this Starbucks and all the employees, however the new manager, Nicole, this store has hired is the most unfriendly person, and honestly not the best manager.
The first time I noticed her, she sat in the corner of the store on her laptop for literally 3 hours while the store was decently busy. I mean she was GLUED to this thing. She would get up every so often to help, I'm assuming when someone finally asked over the headset. When she does help, she seems extremely overwhelmed or inconvenienced. It looks sloppy when a manager is doing nothing during a rush, especially from other people in the industry.
My second experience with her, I came through the drive thru. There were 3 cars in the line, including me. Her introduction was speedy, and she told me to wait. No problem! I'm sure the inside was busy. When she was ready to take my order, I asked how her day was going. She said "fine, thank you" and didn't ask how my day was. Whatever, but a little rude, you seriously can't be that busy. She seems to have a habit of making people think they aren't worth her time.
I work in food service so I always think it's really special when a customer takes time out of their experience to ask me how my day is or how I am. I found it strange she blew me off, but it's not the end of the world I guess. Coffee was yummy as always, but her warmth towards customers is sorta lacking.
I do want to brag on Macie. She always goes above and beyond for me and makes sure everything is perfect. Emily was also amazing and I was very sad to hear she was let go. A huge shame, she was lovely.
The entire staff is super friendly and welcoming, the manager could ask for some pointers perhaps.
Tiny complaint, it is always as cold as a meat locker in this location. I’d stay a lot longer if I didn’t have to bundle up to be...
Read moreStopped by this Starbucks thinking I’d grab a quick treat for the kids and a coffee for myself. Silly me. I ordered a cake pop, a muffin, a coffee, and two waters. You’d think I asked them to roast the beans by hand and milk the cow out back.
Waited 5–10 minutes just to be noticed at the register. Eventually, someone remembered we existed and took our order. Then came the real adventure: standing around for 30+ minutes watching people stroll in, order, and leave with their drinks while we stood there like we were in some kind of coffee purgatory.
When the waters finally arrived (you know, the items that require the complex task of turning on a faucet), it took another 5–10 minutes for the rest of the order—and only after I repeated it three times. Maybe next time I’ll bring a whiteboard and draw it out.
Shoutout to Karen, who gave the most dramatic public apology I’ve ever witnessed, like she was accepting an Oscar for “Most Delayed Order.” Meanwhile, the blonde barista behind her snickered like she just won some petty little battle. Bold move for someone who then handed me a coffee that tasted like burnt regret.
To top it all off, there was a clearly exhausted employee who had to remind Karen she’d been there all day before she could leave. Overworked, underpaid, and stuck in the middle of this disaster of a shift.
If you’re into watching chaos unfold in slow motion, being ignored, and walking away with a drink that tastes like it lost a fight with the espresso machine—this is the...
Read morei’ve been coming here almost weekly for 2 years now, and i love all the staff… minus one person. and that’s the new “manager” Nicole. she not only has poor communication with customers, she also makes it very tense in there. i loved coming in and cutting up with all the girls, but now it seems so rushed and short like they don’t have time to breathe let alone do anything else, all while Nicole sits in the corner of the cafe on her computer or phone for hours. i can tell the baristas are getting burnt out, and i hate to see that. let’s also not forget how there’s never anything in stock anymore. half the time when i come in, the stuff i usually do get they’re out of. and the mobile orders are almost always off once or twice a week now, and when they’re not off they’re having to work drive thru only, which is very inconvenient sometimes when they’re lined out to 27. i don’t know, just seems to be going down hill VERY quickly in the last 2 months. please get better management, i’d hate to see this starbucks turn out like the last one...
