Sunrise Restaurant & Deli — Restaurant in Somerville

My husband and I were here a few months ago and really enjoyed the food. This morning we specifically drove out of our way to come here for breakfast. Upon arrival we were given one menu that was your typical diner fare. I knew from the last time that there was more "ethnic" menu but thought maybe it is only given during lunch. Our food came and everything was fine until half way through my food I noticed a piece of hair. I was completely disgusted and when it came to paying I mentioned the hair and the first thing she said was could it be your hair. No my hair is long and tied back so she's like oh it's my hair I m so sorry! She discounted us and while my husband was paying up I looked at the other menu and it said nothing about a specific time, it was an all day menu. I also noticed at the bar a couple of people had the food I was looking for which confirmed that we could have ordered these items. Hey y’all my name is Blanca, I’m new in Somerville don’t know really good places like that, decided to get some food around Somerville spotted a spot which was this restaurant. I ordered a chop cheese and fries, went home and relax and start eating my food. As I’m eating it I’m finding little pieces of home in my meat which taste and texture wise feels like a rubber , which I brush off and then I took another bite and I threw up my food. 7/4/19 - I'd give this place zero stars if I could. My wife and I were treated very rudely. I never bring up race in my reviews (feel free to read all of my prior reviews) but I have to wonder why we were ignored. My wife and I both believe it was because of our race. Our food was literally dropped on our table by the owner who didn't even look at us (no exaggeration, his head was turned away). There was no follow-up visit to check on us. Other customers were treated better.

And, the worst part... an employee working behind the counter was slicing and handling meat without gloves. Yuk.
