Los Paisanos Restaurant — Restaurant in Somerville

This place has the best Latin American food around. Almost everything I've had from here has been great . Firstly let's talk about price to get that out of the way. This place is.not expensive but certainly not the cheapest option around either . You can definitely get a cheaper burrito a few doors down at Taco Loco , but there's a reason you're going to pay more at Los Paisano's - and that reason is simply how much better the food is . The food here is extremely fresh and delicious the chicken in the burritos is extremely moist and flavorful , not to mention light and fluffy rice. The real winner on the menu is the Pupusas though - now they're much more expensive than anything you'd get in East Boston or Chelsea but at almost $3 each they are worth every penny . Now I tried to save myself a few dollars by getting them down the street for $2 each and they didn't have nearly enough filling inside and the salsa they gave me tasted like ketchup and water . That's not what you'll find at Los Paisano's - here the food is authentic and flavorful. The one thing that this place is missing is the atmosphere - this is certainly a place just to eat very basic . There's not any outside seating and the interior isn't really updated . It's just very plain with blue foors and a few decorations , nothing more . Would I suggest a date here , no . But a quick takeout dinner after work or nice lunch on Sunday (after your workout 😆 ) definitely.

Overall: If you want the cheapest food possible - go somewhere else . If you want the most options and lots of ready made food (Tamales , rice plates, ECT) then again - go somewhere else . If you want to have a cute lunch date in a place with a great atmosphere - go somewhere else . But if you want the most authentic , freshest , and most delicious food then you have come to the...

TL:DR Waited 2:30 hours for a messed up order. Unwanted chicken tacos subpar.

I placed an order for 3 Fish tacos, 3 Res tacos, 3 carnitas tacos and 1 sopa de pollo, this was at 5:40. At 7:30, when my food had yet to arrive and I could no longer wait, I called and was told that my order hadn't been started. At around 8:00 pm I get a call telling me that they will be outside in 5-10 minutes with my food BUT they had messed up my order and got me chicken instead of res tacos and had made the fish tacos with mayonnaise instead of the usual. I was asked if this was ok but obviously after 2:30 hours I was hungry and just told them to give me the food. Los Paisanos is my FAVORITE place to eat in Somerville! All of the food is authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced! My favorite dishes are Tacos de Pascado (Fish Tacos) and the Pupusas which are always made fresh to order and I travel from Back Bay to Somerville to eat here, that’s how awesome the food is!
