Buyer beware on the prices. When you want to order fish and chips the price clearly says online $7.50. However when you ask for the total price for two fish and chips it’s $34 and some change so that’s a problem for us. I questioned that and they told me I was looking at an old menu; I said no I’m looking at the menu that is online and it clearly says $7.50. I then asked to speak with the manager it was a female she did not give her name and she said that I was looking at the wrong site. I informed her that I had the right site. Again she tells me that I have the wrong site. Again I tell her no I don’t, it has Mike’s logo, address, phone number, etc. Her reply and I just love this “that’s not us, other companies steal our information and use it on their site”. At this point I’m asked do you still want your food? Umm of course we do, it goes without saying that Mike’s has some of the best food in the state ~ that’s our opinion.
The score has nothing to do with the food and everything to do with the customer service which is just as, if not, more than important than the food. The woman went too far. She didn’t apologize and at the very least she could have offered a little bit of a discount. She didn’t. What’s listed as the price is what you’re supposed to pay. What she did do at one point was slam the phone down in my ear. I don’t know why, the only purpose it served was get me aggravated and Mike’s a bad review for their customer service. The lobster macncheese is phenomenal and I recommend it highly to anyone not allergic to shellfish!!!
To the manager, own the errors. Don’t lie about it and certainly stop blaming the customers and others. If someone places an order, make sure you have it for them when they come in to pick it up. You asked me two times if I still wanted it and both times I said yes. You didn’t drop our order until George came in to pick it up which meant he had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our order. Not professional and very unfair of you. You should be...

I never write reviews, but what happened at Mike’s in Davis Square was absolutely outrageous and needs to be addressed.
Let’s start with the food: hands down the worst plate of pasta I’ve ever had in my life. It tasted like it was thrown together by a sleep-deprived intern who’s never seen a stove. Limp noodles, watery sauce with zero flavor, and somehow both undercooked and overcooked at the same time. It was like they opened the fridge, dumped in leftovers, and hoped no one would notice.
What’s worse? I honestly believe the kitchen switched plates or served a completely different dish than what I ordered. I called back as soon as I got home and explained the situation clearly and calmly, hoping they’d at least offer to fix it. Instead, they gaslit me. The woman on the phone, Christina, who was working the Sunday night shift around 10:30 PM, flat-out blamed ME for ordering it wrong.
She told me, “Well you’re the one who ordered that pasta,” like I somehow deserved the slop they served. No apology. No offer to make it right. Just attitude and excuses.
This isn’t just bad service — this is blatant disrespect to paying customers. I work hard for my money like everyone else. I wasn’t expecting five-star dining, but I at least expected edible food and basic courtesy.
To anyone thinking about eating at Mike’s: save yourself the money, time, and frustration. There are a dozen better spots within walking distance. And to management: if you care at all about your business, check your kitchen and your staff — especially Christina — because this was absolutely unacceptable.

Read moreI really want to give no star. My experience today was horrible. My husband, my 4 m.o baby and I went here today for outdoor dining. We waited a server to order foods for more than 30 mins. That’s understandable for us because there were many people despite of not many servers. However, the main problem was that two teams who came much later than us got the service and water. No one took our order. Even no one gave a cup of water for more than 30 mins. My 4 months old baby also waited for an half hour, being exposed to the direct sunlight, but no one looked at us. I put my hands up to get attention from servers, but they seemed to intentionally ignore me. At that moment, I realized that THIS IS A DISCRIMINATION. Why? The two teams who came much later than us were white, and WE WERE THE ONLY ONES WHO ARE COLORED RACE IN THE RESTAURANT. How could you guys explain that this is not discrimination? Do you guys really think this is just mistake due to hectic busyness? Oh, I truly wish that it was just someone’s mistake, not disregard or discrimination, please.
I am sad that my baby got a mild burn on her face due to being exposed to direct sunlight for 30 mins, but the sadder thing is that this country is where my baby will live forever as a colored race. This experience is such a wonderful disregard that just 4 MO baby has to deal with very first time as a non-white.
There was no reason of keeping the table for order, so we gave up having a lunch there. I will NEVER go this restaurant again. Thanks guys for letting us have such a great experience of...
