Deacons Tavern — Restaurant in South Abington Township

It's a little bleak inside. I was the only customer there when I showed up, so between that and the pretty widely spaced-out tables it felt very empty and plain. I got the prime rib with potatoes and brussel sprouts, which came out pretty quick; the steak was a little disappointing but the sides were good, especially the glaze on the brussel sprouts. Service was excellent, even as more people started to arrive I was regularly checked on and asked how everything was and if I wanted anything else. They also sell local artists' pieces off the walls which I think is pretty cool. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you're staying at the attached hotel, they mentioned a discount if you're a guest there. (I wasn't a guest there but it's definitely nice...

I had the worst dining experience, I've had here in a long time. The waitress was rude and snobby all she was worried about was flirting with the guy who worked at the bar My drinks were decent but over priced and my food was still cold in the center after they brang it out. I wasn't offered a drink refill I went up and got it myself and I would absolutely not come here again. I spent around 80$ for my share and wasn't even offered an apology. This place allows there employees to leave drunk. I watched the girls drink their own drink when I went up to get napkins and my own refills. The one waitress left stumbling and got into her own car drunk as skunk from work .... but again wasn't even...

Wow! what a hidden gem! the food and service were excellent, the bartender (Cameron) knew exactly what I wanted! could use a little more "atmosphere" in the dining room, and a sign outside would be helpful! definitely not the "other" place (next door) not a chain, they know what personal service and connection is! gonna eat there lots! I especially liked the Harris Reuben Flatbread and the Irish Onion Soup! I also heard that the Chef is a total dish, and he enjoys long walks on the beach with that special...
