Friday was a beautiful Florida day. We decided to visit the Bradenton area and found ourselves in one of our favorite areas, Cortez. Cortez is a small historic fishing village located just before leaving the mainland and crossing onto Bradenton Beach. We had never been to the Tide Tables and had always wanted to give it a try, so we pulled into the fairly small parking lot (which has a person directing traffic). We were there at almost 1:00 PM and the place was crowded. As a little background, this is a small typical Cortez laid-back, No Frills Fish Shack. The hostess let us know that she could seat us at the inside bar. The menu is loaded with lots of Great choices. We came for the seafood, so we checked out the menu and found two items to try - The Shrimp Po’ Boy which comes with chips and coleslaw and the Grilled Fresh Mahi Mahi, which comes with french fries and coleslaw. Both dishes were excelent and we loved every bite. If you are looking for a spot with Great food and a relaxed atmosphere, you need to try the Tide Tables in Cortez.

Great restaurant! We had the fish tacos and seafood combo (grilled). Both were excellent. We also ordered the grouper bites (highly recommend). We sat at the bar so we did have to wait for an outside table. Service was excellent and our food came out very quickly. The restaurant seems very efficiently ran. From the people in the parking lot making sure there is a spot available to the way the staff was constantly restocking kegs, beer, wine etc to keep the bar running smoothly. Everyone seemed to be doing their best to make sure customers were taken care of. We will be back again!

Enjoyed lunch at an outdoor table on a very hot Florida Friday, but a breeze was blowing from the water and it was quite lovely. Service from Griffin was outstanding… He stopped by many times to make sure we were satisfied with the pace of our lunch. I really enjoyed the fried grouper – even the 5 ounces was a large serving! Our table shared the fried mushrooms, which were quite delightful. Careful - they do come out quite hot to that first bite. Will definitely be back - maybe next time in a little bit cooler weather!

🌊🍽️ Tide Tables Restaurant: Where Seafood Dreams Come True! 🦞🌟

Whether you arrive by car or set sail by boat, this place is a treasure trove for all seafood lovers! 🚗⛵️ Nestled on the left just before you journey over the bridge to Anna Maria Island, it's a seafood paradise you can't miss! 🏝️

Now, let's talk about their unique nautical approach – "Come by boat!" 🚤🗺️ Yes, you heard that right! Anchored at Marker 48 on the Intracoastal Waterway next to the Cortez Bridge, Tide Tables invites you to sail right in and dock at their waterfront oasis. 🚢⚓

Once you're there, the view alone is enough to make your mouth water like a dolphin sighting a school of fish! 🐬🐟 With both outdoor and indoor seating, you can soak up the sun like a beach bum or chill indoors like a wise old sea turtle. 🏖️🐢

Their commitment to freshness is reel-y impressive! 🎣🐠 Cutting their fresh fish daily on the dock, you can have it prepared just the way you like it – fried, grilled, or blackened, making you feel like the captain of your own culinary adventure! 🍤🔥

But wait, there's more! Their chef is like a culinary mermaid, making magical sauces, seasonings, and desserts from scratch that'll have your taste buds doing the conga! 🧁🌈 You'll feel like you stumbled upon a gourmet treasure hidden under the sea. 🌊💎

And let's not forget the outdoor tiki bar – the perfect spot to sip cocktails and share salty tales with fellow sailors! 🍹🌴 With each sip, you'll feel the sea breeze kissing your cheeks, and the worries of the land will drift away like a message in a bottle. 📜🍹

So, if you're looking for a casual seafood eatery with a view that'll make your heart sail and flavors that'll make you do the seafood shuffle, head to Tide Tables Restaurant! It's a maritime marvel that'll have you hooked from the first...

We were just over in Bradenton Beach and decided to cross the bridge to Cortez and hit this place for dinner after seeing the reviews. The parking attendants were professional and directed us where to park and enter the restaurant.

No wait to sit inside for a party of 5. We ordered breaded mushrooms, peal & eat shrimp and conch fritters for an appetizer. All were average with the fritters being too dark. I had a bowl of lobster and potato soup that was excellent and the best I had on AMI with large pieces of lobster. My main entree was the blackened combo platter. The shrimp and scallops along with the mahi mahi were good but not blackened as requested but more of a bronze. I enjoyed the side of smoked baked beans and a very small side of pineapple coleslaw. The award winning key lime pie was very good but not the best I had in AMI. A little too sweet.

The shock top pitchers of beer were the most affordable we had on our vacation and poured into frosted mugs.

High/low picnic and bar seating. Indoor/outdoor bar. Deck with water views. Economical serving items from styrofoam plates and bowls, paper menus to plasticware. Small discount for cash payment. Excellent service from our 9 year veteran Virginia. Pricing is on the high side for the setting. Virginia brought it up to the 4 star ⭐️ overall rating. I probably would return for lunch and sit on the deck to give them...

I guess this isn't the place for me, or my family. After reading the reviews we were expecting something a little better. Upon arriving just as they were opening we were told 40 minutes for first available. I agreed to that much to my chagrin. After 90 minutes we were called to sit at a picnic table on a bed of shells. I did mention to the hostess, there were people seated before us that arrived after our group of 4 to no avail.Actually she was a bit snippy about it.I will admit service was good and we were instantly waited on. The overpriced food was average at best but the coleslaw was tasteless. Probably the fish tacos were the best choice. Everything else was so so fare. I like grouper cheeks but $25 for them is off the charts.I don't see the attraction here. Possibly because you're close to the water?

37/2023 We tried the Seafood Shack right across the street last night. It was crowded also but had lots of parking and we were seated after about 10 minutes. I had wonderful shrimp and grits .Wife had ribs cooked right outside on their grille/ smoker. Also enjoyed full bar menu with lots of specials....all reasonably priced along with great...
