I took my husband to dinner here after i saw a friend had such a wonderful time at this restaurant. I made a reservation thru Google's open table. I asked for a booth if available because I had never been to the restaurant. I wasn't aware if they had any. I was seated in the very center, small tables, by the kitchen. The make owner was pretty much our server for our meal. I felt first that because we didn't order any wine, maybe we were casually dressed, or I as a woman ordering my own food... we were treated differently than the other guests seated around us. 2 of the 5 tables seated in an area of 6 tables ordered wine. Those tables he was chatty asked how everything was after food arrived, and overall more pleasant. The other table and ours, which did not order wine, were just served as we were excuse me, but riff raff or lesser. I do work hard for my money, and as the food wasn't terrible so I did my best to try to turn my frown upside-down.
I felt rushed thru my order. I wanted to have the pasta cooked in the cheese wheel. However, I wasn't given the opportunity to ask any questions. It was one of the main reasons I went to this restaurant. I almost asked my sister in law to join us. As foodies, I am glad I didn't. When I recommend a place to our friends, it is our bond. Tiramisu Ristorante Italiano doesn't hit the mark for us in service, nor is food. I was left wanting with the ho hum place. I would and will go to Maggiano's in Tampa next time I feel like Italian. The surprise to me is that it was the owner. You can't treat people that way and expect people to be return customers. Maybe he needs to be in a "better" with the snooty nose in the air attitude he has.
The food was decent but bland. The food was the best part, honestly. The server who brought out our food was pleasant and smiled.
Overall, I will give it a second try. Everyone has off day. It was a terrible first impression of the restaurant and the...
Read moreFrom the man at the front desk dressed in all black who was more worried about peacocking then customers. To the man (I think a waiter) who's shirt was half unbuttoned eating as he came out of the kitchen/dish area. He obviously couldn't be botherd the wash his hands after eating. To all the in-between. The rudeness wait, not rude, indifference that everyone treated us with. Only one person was attentive. Not just to us but everyone they dealt with. (I realy wish I caught his name) We came in without a reservation, they weren't all that busy, only 6 tables came in after us. We were told we could wait until the people over there, they point to the corner table by the kitchen are finished. They already have dessert. We agreed and they set us up at a high top table by the bathroom. After about 10 minutes someone asked if we wanted a drink while we waited. The drink came and we were told to go ahead and sit. Again, they pointed to the table in the corner. I noticed that the bread baskets were just being recycled through the kitchen without being washed. I was almost ready to just walk out when my wife suggested maybe the food will make up for it. It didn't! It went even further downhill. The severely over priced food, $30 for a carbonara with the wrong protein. It should have been guanciale not panchetta. If you're going to use panchetta at least make it crispy. $21.00 for Lasagna Bolinas that was over sauced and mushy and $9.00 for three (fresh hahaha) previously frozen meatballs. The atmosphere was loud and impersonal. All but one peson was indifferent about being there. Fyi only the wait staff get tips. Not the bussers or food runners. I went to an atm and pulled out $20.00 and handed it to the unnamed man in front of one of the owners. Told the owner he (pointing) to the guy as I shook his hand, was the best and took great care of us. The food, was so not worth the cost! Will...
Read moreDefinately on the return list The food was soo delicious. We couldnt decide what to get since everything sounded so good! We weren't disappointed and will be going back for seconds ;)
Went for another visit on Valentine's Day and the chef out did herself. Everything was delicious from the app to the dessert. It was a limited menu well worth the price! Even the little touches made the experience wonderful....the champagne starters were so cute and the chocolate dessert so decadent. Thanks for another special dinner.
8/4/21 Made a reservation since we came over the previous weekend and it was packed inside and no availability. The Parmigiano cheese bowl is back and its always so delicious when your meal is prepared in it. The veal chop is always our favorite too. Ordered dessert and the tiramisu didn't disappoint. Prices are always reasonable. My favorite part was the violinist playing tonight.......I wish I requested a table near him because he was fantastic.
Suggestions: my husband wasn't at the table when the cheese bowl arrived to prepare our dish and the server preparing it waited for about 1 minute and told me he couldn't wait any longer. It was kind of rude....it wasn't that busy tonight and if there are other tasks to do maybe bring it over when everyone is seated. My only other suggestion is to slow service down. We were in and out in under an hour.
We also ordered a side of gnocchi with the veal chop and we didn't realize it was coming in the veal sauce.. We didn't care for that so the owner brought us out gnocchi in red sauce! Really good that way. Other than that..... the chef is a gem and the place I super cute.
1/26/24 haven't been to tiramisu since we moved to parrish. It was soooo delicious . The veal chop is always consistently amazing and the lobster risotto simply divine!...
