I'm going to apologize ahead bc I hate leaving bad reviews. The staff is super nice. But folks, take your first gut instinct and figure it out. I felt the need to warn others of spending $16.88 for dinner when you can go to safer options in the area. The 1 star instead of zero is be the service was good during the visit and the orange sherbet was good. It tasted just like the old Flinstone's push pops! But the rest...We were worried about food poisoning bc of a chemical taste in the food. Chicken was dry stringy and not edible. There is a mix of strong cleaner and chemicals around the food, to the point it was hard to want to eat anything. I found the white rice was edible but still had this weird smell. Probably from the rest of the food and chemicals absorbing it. The blue crab is a joke. It had taken 6 good size legs to produce a tablespoon of meat. Basically no meat in them enough to bother. The only other food item I would recommend if I had to pick one, would be the frog legs. Please do not eat anything raw in the sushi part. That would be a hard no. Now for the really gross part... later everything that came out (I'm talking about diarrhea),smelled exactly like the chemical food smell coming from my intestines to smell it all over again. Other reviews I read here have also agreed smelling the strange chemicals in the food and atmosphere. Again, I'm sorry but please don't come here. Full on MSG headache this morning as well and nauseated. Never ever again. Update: now husband who also ate there and I are now both throwing up, chilled diarrhea please stay far far away for your health safety. I called to warn them about the issue to please check the food to see if something is wrong so that no one else gets sick. She hung up on me telling me that no one has called. Iām like, I am calling right now. I was very polite and professional about the situation and she hung up on me. The health dept as already been notified of the situation as I donāt think the woman on the phone cares enough about food safety in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there for the first time a week ago and the food was actually pretty good and the service was as well my biggest problem was I found a cockroach in my fresh hibachi. It wasn't in the vegetables when I put them on my plate but when I received my cooked plate of hibachi it had a cockroach cooked in it. They gave me a discount and charged me a child's plate instead of not charging me at all. They also had a huge black hair in their honeydew where the waitress had noticed it and proceeded to pick up the tongs and flip the fruit over to try and conceal the hair. They eventually changed out the pan but that was around 20-25 minutes later. That was the first and will be the last time I ever eat here again. I was completely disgusted and was sick to my stomach for the rest of the evening. I have never in my life encountered a cockroach in my food at any restaurant. Response and reply to management: We are really sorry for your experience. But no one has mentioned anything about your situation to the manager or the front desk for the past few days. Plus our hibachi dishes are normally cooked not as wet as the dish showed. And if thereās a dish with anything thatās not part of food, we normally will not charge customer for the food because we know better if the food is not eatable then it shouldnāt be charged. Finally, if thereās any hair on any of our fruit, especially you mentioned thatās huge black hair thatās noticeable, we will always throw away the whole plate because we know thatās not acceptable to be put on the buffet table anymore. It was reported to staff and they reported it supposedly to the front desk and to the shift manager and gave me a child's discount with apologies. I could've made a huge scene with all who was there eating but didn't. I have witnesses who weren't dining with me and seen me pull the cockroach out with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's not possible to make food this bad but Grand Buffet has managed to do it. Easily the worst Chinese buffet in this fat boys life. Chicken & broccoli: chicken overcooked rubber, inedible. Broccoli tasted like it was boiled. Water actually came out when bitten. No crunch, maybe wok was stolen or broken. And broccoli was cold like it came straight out of fridge. Egg rolls: outside super greasy. Inside was wet. Cabbage squishes when you bite, disgusting. Sushi: mostly bland average but some were so dry & had so much rice that you thought you were eating a bowl of white rice. General Tsos Chicken: Sickening. Cut a piece in half, only fat & breading inside. Could find no chicken. Egg Foo Young: didn't try as they had no sauce to go with it. Some kind of bright red pork: gross. Stuffed Mushrooms: average. Rice: okay average. Desserts: peach slices hard & tasteless. Apricots bland. Watermelon not close to ripe. Now for the good stuff. Service very good. Soda good. Self scoop ice cream good. But the best was the fortunes. Not the cookie, the fortune. They were extremely witty , made you think & were on the money. So, if you want to eat ice cream, drink soda & read fortunes, this is your restaurant. If you want to eat, go elsewhere or go hungry. Many good reviews so normally I'd give it a 2nd try but this was so bad it'll take a gun to my...
