Bertolo's Pizza on Pelham — Restaurant in South Carolina

Typically my husband likes this place I However have never enjoyed it. I let him talk me into yet another meal I didn't eat... I thought However a salad who can fudged that up boy was I wrong we waited 45 min on baked ziti which was just plain noodles at the bottom and only cheese on the top and was a very thin coat at that no sauce on anything but the top of it. My salad came 2 very very tiny pieces of grilled chicken which I waited an additional 15 minutes for them to cook! I mean this chicken was so super tiny I needed a magnifying glass to find it.. on top of that the salad dressing tasted like it was bad so needless to say we wasted our 88$ on a meal we didn't eat! I would give no stars but sadly that's not a option. So unless you are looking for cheaply made poor quality food I suggest you find somewhere else to blow your money on...Oh and our garlic knots were very cold in the middle frozen food is something I can get out of the Walmart frozen bread isle smh try fresh never frozen foods wondering what else they cut corners on here... cleaning up would also be a great...

I really don’t like having to do this review! This is a place that I have always enjoyed in the past. But today, even though the people were good and friendly, the place was really dirty and sticky on the walls and table I was at!! Plus it seems like to me that sometime since the last time I was there, somebody changed the dough recipe for the deep dish pizza. Don’t get me wrong, it was not so bad but it was not nearly as good as I remembered! I grew up on La Stradas pizza! Specifically Sicilian pizza and no one comes close to real Italian Sicilian pizza in the Greenville area but these guys came the closest including the one downtown. We recently ordered a large Meat Supreme and some garlic knots to go, and I have to say, both were both very good! The pizza had the perfect balance of toppings, and the garlic knots were savory and satisfying.
