The difference between 2 visits is insanely crazy as my first visit was take out and was beyond amazing. During that first visit I walked in and was asked take out or eat in. I got my order taken quickly and food was delicious. Both visits were about the same amount of people and both times there was only 1 waitress on the floor. I had the chicken tenders and fries. The brand of ranch to go containers are nasty, but the food itself was great. Had I not returned, they would have been given a higher rating. But I will never eat here again even though they have some good food.
ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE - I returned there with my son on June 15th after 5pm. Shadresha was the only one on the floor and from watching her, it seemed to me that she didn't know how to prioritize what she was doing. She was cleaning casually, while customers were waiting for service. Numerous customers walked out because they received no service after waiting 10 minutes. I don't know if it had something to do with being short staffed, but if that was the case, they should have closed off the back half of the place. Customers would have understood. I will say that her attitude and demeaner for the time we were there was anything but friendly.
FOOD - I purposely tried the onion rings as they had amazing reviews, and since the fries were so amazing, I was so disappointed as they were soggy and gross. I only ate 1 and left the rest. The burger was really good, but as a recommendation to management would be to have a listing of the available toppings added or add more options to the menu for types of burgers. My son had the chicken tenders and fries and was happy with them like I was, but also said the ranch was disgusting.
FACILITIES - To get to the restroom there are 2 doors (See photos) and they should remove that first one to make it easier for someone to get into, especially someone with a handicap. Inside the restroom was dirty and not ready for someone to use. I ended up not using it because the toilet seat was broken. The handicap bar was behind the toilet with a framed picture sitting on top of the toilet, there was dirty paper towel everywhere, it stunk in there, and there was a hole in the door. My photos show the status of it when I walked in.
YOUR BILL - Please note to anyone that pays with a card, that your receipt will show SOHO Steak & Sushi and not Burger Boys, which I almost...
Read moreWe entered as locals, excited to give this a try. Sadly, we left with a bad taste in our mouths. The waitress never introduced herself, so I don't know her name. As we waited for our food, my wife went to the restroom. When she returned, she shared that the toilet handle was missing, the floor was slick, and the top of the toilet lid was on the handicap rail!! It should have been out of order!!
We waited a good bit for our burgers to come out, which the waitress commented that they have a new cook training. We became worried as the group picking up their to-go order kept finding things wrong, as they sent it back to be corrected.
When our food arrived, the burgers were burnt with incorrect toppings/condiments. When this was shared with the waitress, the remaining 5 at the bar spoke up and voiced the same about their orders too.
The waitress then made a call to the manager, who arrived in 5-7m. On his arrival he did not speak to one customer and went straight to the kitchen. The food order counter provided a full view of his conversation and manurism with the cook and trainee. You could hear him say to the trainee, "you cooking like that is gonna run me out of business!" The trainee was then asked to clock out and go home. The waitress apologized again saying they have a new cook who is in training with another cook.
We sat there along with others floored that this blame and shaming of the trainee unfolded in front of everyone. We asked for our bill, and the waitress said the manager is willing to make everyone new burgers. Given our experience, we declined and just wanted to pay and leave.
Felt like the whole situation could have been handled differently by the manager. At no point did he try and connect with the customer and made it a focus to lay into the cook staff in front of everybody. If this is how he runs a business that serves food and treats his staff, it's not somewhere we want to go back to. Everyone who ate was understanding, and were confused as to how a trainee is to be blamed when they are training with...
Read moreGreat Hambuger! We were on our way to Hamburger Joe's but decided to give Burger Boys a try. The restaurant is located in the Waterway shopping center next to Soho in the restaurant row area. It's a counter type restaurant with ample seating in the back. For this slow time of year it's kind of a "one man show" operation. The cook was also the waiter and cashier. He was very efficient in all areas. The have a very simple menu but we decided to have the special which was a double chili cheese burger with bacon and bbq sauce served with onion rings for $9.99. The burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious. The onion rings were very tasty as well. We also had an order of French fries which were of the shoe string variety and were equally scrumptious. We will definitely be back. In fact, this place may now be my go to...
