My family and I were traveling to Greenville and stopped off of our designated path in search of a Chic fil A. A guaranteed favorite of our family. Guaranteed good food n most importantly Great Service. As we strolled in the town of Laurens I must admit I was a bit taken aback by the scenery but still did not fret as I knew no matter where u are, you are guaranteed good friendly service. Boy was I wrong. As we entered the establishment all eyes were on my family of melenated skin tones. Unbothered as we are a beautiful family, I proceeded to place our orders. I immediately noticed the absence of the warm greetings, the smiles, and the always crowd pleasing....my pleasures. Instead it was cold and very dry order taking. No requests for condiments....the basic run of the mill that I can get from a dollar menu establishment. Honestly, I was unbothered still as I am fully aware of the world we live in. Chopped it up to pure ignorance and continued with our meal selection. What prompted this review was the actions of a manager and frail male associate when I requested to have our sweet teas swapped for other drinks as they werent to our liking. The gentleman was walking the lobby when I politely called him to our table to swap out our drinks. Upon his leaving I decided I wanted another drink. As I walked up to the counter to advise of the change, I caught the effeminate gentleman rolling his eyes and frowing his face better than my 9 year old daughter; and speaking of "THAT woman" who wanted to swap out her drinks to his manager. Who responded well what did she say was wrong with it? In which he responded she didnt really say with more eye rollings and frowns. I was then noticed by the manager and associate who of course tried to clean up with phony explanations of the conversation. Too late. Damage done. To add insult to injury instead of coming to our table to apologize the same manager came instead to offer an attempt to receive free ice cream for shooting a basketball. Go figure lol.No ma'am. Never again. The food wasnt bad but the experience made every bite disgusting. But I glady spend 30 bucks on fast food when Im getting Great Service. As we excited absent again was the thank you and normal salutations I receive when exicting any otger Chic Fil A. Nothing. This was definitely...
Read moreThe 1st time I experienced eating here I downloaded the app n they were offering a free sandwich of my choice. I chose the fried chicken sandwich. Best decision EVERRRRR it was AMAZING. The sandwich was huge, n mouth watering. The bread was so soft but not soggy. The chicken was cooked to perfection, it was crispy n juicey, not cooked to hard n dried out just amazing. The 2nd time I ate here I had a free gift card to try one of their eggwhite grilled chicken muffin. I opt out for the fried chicken biscuit sandwich. Again Best decision ever it was WONDERFUL. The sandwich was great. The biscut was soft n moist but not to soft that it was falling apart, nor was it to hard n dried out. The chicken was cooked great, so flavorful. The customer service was out of control awesome. I am truly amazed at all the sauces they provide. She said we have and started running off a list of sauces, some I never even heard of before. I was so bamboozled as to which sauce to try, I asked if I can have one of each. Sure no problem she said. I was shocked because normally you have to pay for extra sauce. The jelly was good on the chicken biscuit. But I couldn't wait to try that Polynesian sauce out. I tell you we had a field day with those sauces. And it was chicken pita night for dinner. Awesomeness. I was like you know what, I have had a few things free from here let me go and spend some money. You know food tend to be the bomb when its free.. lol but even when I spent money the food was still AMAZING n the staff was still polite and accommodating. Only thing different, I knew which sauces I wanted this time..lol shout out to the Polynesian sauce got me looking for you in stores...lol So glad I don't have to drive 48 mins now to indulge in my new favorite place, it's less then 10 mins away now. Great Job Chick-fil-A...
Read moreFirst off I am tickled pink that we have a Chic Fil-a in town. They have the best chicken sandwich known to man Imo, bar none. Most folks don't realize there is a location in town though, since it is located inside the cafeteria building at Newberry College. But John Q Public can certainly drive to campus, park, and walk in for sit down seating, or do takeout. This would have been a 5 star rating except for the "so called" designated 3 Chic Fil-a parking spots in the closest college parking lot to the cafeteria building. Invariably these parking spots have a student, Newberry College vehicle, or even a visiting athletic team vehicle parked there most times. So when I do take the opportunity to get my favorite chicken sandwich, half the time I have to make a pretty good walk after finding alternate parking. I am sure this might not matter to most, but when you are on your timed lunch break, the parking situation can be a factor in my lunch decision for that day. Bottom line is, that I would frequent here much more often if their designated spots were available to their active customers, rather than anyone else just looking for a parking space at the college. They are just ripping off this franchisee at the moment. There's a lot of potential public business, not affiliated with the college, that is being missed...
