We went back to Joelle tonight for dinner. We added the marinated olives as an appetizer. They were very good. We also had the canoli for dessert. They were good. We are from Philly so they aren't the best we have had. For being in the South they are very good. Chris was our server this time. He offered suggestions on the menu. He was very personable we enjoyed talking to him. We told him about Haley waited on us last time at the bar. We got a special suprise when she came outside to come say Hi. That is definitely good customer service. An amendment to my review below they now charge $2 to share an item. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. The heaters are a plus for outside.

We sat at the bar to eat. you definitely need reservations if you want a table. The food was delicious. We will definitely be adding this place on our list of places to go. Hayley was our server at the bar. She did an amazing job. We got the pig &fig salad to share. the kitchen divided it in half for us which was a added bonus. Their salads are all huge and can be shared. The pig &fig salad was fresh and very tasty. I would have liked a little more parmesan. We ordered the muffeletta pizza. they just added it to the menu yesterday. they used the mortadella for the base. it was unique and very tasty. I hope they keep it on the menu. They offer you a sesame bread with oil and vinegar while you are waiting. you can really taste the sesame which is good. we will definitely be back and tell...

Staying on Hilton Head, we rarely dine in Bluffton as there are so many options on the island. However, this restaurant was so highly recommended, six of us had dinner this past Wednesday. The place was packed, we didn’t know it was 1/2 price wine Wednesday, a nice surprise. As the photos show, we ordered a bit of everything, forgot to take a snap of the margarita pizza, which was outstanding.

The pig and fig is an absolute must. The best prosciutto outside of Italy. The duck Ragu, although it doesn’t present quite so well, was amazing, both the duck and homemade pasta. Osso Buco was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone. Octopus was cooked perfectly. But my favorite was the cioppino. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the spicy tomato broth, extremely light, was the best I’ve ever tasted.

Portions are plentiful. Order a variety so you can share, you’ll want a taste of everything!!

The restaurant is less than a year old and they definitely have some kinks to work out. Could absolutely use more help at the bar, it took forever to get our drinks, but the food came out rather quickly. Extremely nice hostess and staff.

Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. Everything was outstanding and we will definitely return. This place is going to turn into a hotspot for sure. We have dined at the May River Grill, which is also terrific, but Joelle is a totally different atmosphere with exceptional food. Now Bluffton has two fantastic restaurants to enjoy. There is definitely...

Our server was pleasant, but it felt like we were being rushed, we had an 8:15 reservation and later found out they close at 9:00 and not 10:00 (which doesn't make sense). We did have to wait for one member of our party, but ordered appetizers ahead of time. The appetizers didn't take too long come out, but it felt like as soon as our server came back to get our food order, it came out in no time at all. My main disappointment was that upon delivering our meals, the food runner, or maybe management staff (?), let us know that they were out of crust, so they placed my pizza on gluten-free crust. And without giving anyone a chance to object, she tried to assure us that the taste is completely the same, and it's still fine. I was immediately turned off, as I have had gluten-free crust and cauliflower crust before, and I do not like them - which is why I did not order it. I would have appreciated at the time that we put our order in that I would have been notified instead of waiting to be presented a gluten-free crust pizza. They insisted on leaving the pizza on the table in case anyone else wanted it, but no one did. When the server came back to ask how it was, I asked her to take the pizza away. Overall, it was an underwhelming, disappointing first and last time...

Four of us were looking forward to good Italian food. We were hugely disappointed. It started with our cocktails and went downhill from there. One of us ordered Makers Mark with a rock. They ran out of Makers Mark. The second bourbon choice was Woodford Reserve, also out of that. He ended up having a beer. Two of us had Manhattans that were below average. We had the Steamed Mussels and Frito Misto for appetizers, and they were delicious. That’s what the two stars are for. Two of us ordered the Rigatoni with housemade sausage, kale, Parmesan. As you can see from the photo, there was no sausage or kale. When we showed the owner, instead of apologizing and replacing it, he brought a small bowl of crumbled sausage that looked like breadcrumbs. Quite frankly, all the meals were bland. The pastas were overcooked, we were never offered grated cheese, etc. We related our experience to the owners and they seemed indifferent. I’m sorry to say we won’t be rushing back.
