Loose Change Bar & Grill — Restaurant in South Carolina

What a major disappointment... While it's been a couple of years since our last visit, we always found the food and service to be excellent. The "special" was BBQ Pork served in a variety ways so we ordered a pork sandwich and the nachos with the pork. The nachos were disgusting - "homemade tortilla chips" were greasy, undercooked and cold, the pork was ice cold, the cheese wasn't melted - what a train wreck! And the pork sandwich? less than 1/2" of pork which ended up being 4/5 bread to 1/5 pork - never have had a BBQ sandwich be any worse. Ordered the fries with the sandwich...and they came out cold. The only saving grace was the hush puppies which came out hot and really tasty! Service was excellent, but will not overcome this mess. With lots of other choices just down the street, it's no more Loose...

This place checks all the boxes for dive bar atmosphere with excellent food! The bacon cheeseburger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The beef seemed to be fresh - not frozen - and was so well seasoned it didn’t need anything other than the lettuce tomato & onion that came on it, not even mayo, ketchup or mustard, it was perfect “as is”. The pub chips dipped in ranch made the perfect side. My wife got the chicken quesadilla which was also excellent. The draft beer selections were great too, all craft beers. They also have domestic cans & bottles for those of you who still haven’t figured out what good beer is 😄. They have good classic rock playing but not so loud that you can’t have a nice conversation.
