As an influencer, I had the pleasure of visiting Sabroso Mexican Grille for the first time tonight, and I must say it was an outstanding dining experience! From the moment we stepped in, the bustling atmosphere added to the excitement of trying out this highly recommended restaurant.
The evening began with a classic favorite, chips, and salsa. Let me tell you, the salsa at Sabroso Mexican Grille is next level! The taste was unparalleled, easily one of the best I've ever had. Marcos, the friendly owner, shared with us that the salsa marinates for 24 hours and can be purchased in pints or quarts to take home - a brilliant idea!
My partner opted for the small Taco salad with the Fajita steak upgrade, and it was simply superb. The portion was generous enough for leftovers, which made us even happier. As for my choice, I ordered the steak quesadilla with added mushrooms, and it was a dream come true. On the side, we enjoyed the Chicken Tortilla soup, which was not only delicious but almost therapeutic in its goodness!
The attention to detail at Sabroso is incredible. The presentation of my order was mouthwatering, and I was pleasantly surprised when they served jalapeños on the side - a delightful treat for any spice lover!
Now, here comes an interesting twist to the story. The waitress realized there was a mix-up with my order and offered to replace it, but it was so delicious that I couldn't bear to part with it! This version of my order included rice, and let me say, it was hands down the best rice I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant - bar none!
We also ordered a small cheese dip, and I have to commend the kitchen for getting the consistency just right - not too runny nor too firm, just perfect!
To complement our meal, we enjoyed an ice-cold Corona with a twist of lime - a refreshing choice on a busy night.
The cleanliness of the restrooms was remarkable, especially considering how packed the bar area was. It's evident that the staff takes great care in maintaining a pleasant environment for all guests.
Marcos, the owner, went above and beyond to make amends for the mix-up, though honestly, it felt like a fortunate accident. He was incredibly gracious and didn't charge us for the missed mushrooms or the extra rice. In our conversation, he shared that Sabroso has been delighting customers for 21 years with their Southern Style Mexican cuisine, cooked over mesquite, and featuring higher-grade, pricier steaks. He highly recommended the ribeye ($25), which he assured us was a favorite among regulars.
Overall, our visit to Sabroso Mexican Grille was a delightful experience. The exceptional food, warm hospitality, and unique twists make this a must-visit restaurant. As a local, I'm thrilled to have this gem so close to home, and it's safe to say that Sabroso has earned its spot as our favorite Mexican restaurant from now on. Thank you for a memorable evening, Marcos, and the whole team at Sabroso! I can't wait to come back and explore more of your...
Read moreSo tonight I thought long and hard about making this review because usually I try and give them the opportunity to redeem themselves but seeing as how this isn't the first time I have been here, but will be the last time we ever come I decided to share my experience. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by 2 nice hostesses. However the issues started once we got seated. The waiter a man in his late 30s or mid 40s a little on the heavier side tended to us. After he brought our drinks back he asked if we were ready and we asked for a moment more then my husband asked for a modelo. The waiter said I need your ID in a rude way. Well my husband left it outside in the truck and the waiter replied with an attitude "you have time go get it". We understand the law about ID'S so it was not that big of a issue the problem was the waiters attitude.... Well my husband said nevermind and we started ordering our food. Typically I get the sampler for my meal but I wanted to try something different so when I asked the waiter in spanish if the chicken tortilla soup was good he responded in spanish.... "it's good for white people, we are her to cater to Americans not Latinos so we serve food more pleasing to American people, its not something a Latino would find appetizing." Mind you I'm a very white American and my husband is a very Hispanic Mexican/Latino and well our child is biracial. So he once again was sure to repeat they are there to cater to the likes of white Americans not Latinos. The whole conversation rubbed me the wrong way. I felt like he was trying to say something about us in general. Well after a few seconds I decided we would not waste our money where we would be treated like lesser people. I went to the front and told the hostess I wanted to cancel the order and she was shocked and the waiter walks up and says oh you want to cancel the order he smirks then commences to ball up our ticket. I pray he is not management because if so you really need to reevaluate your team. I have come in with non hispanic people and never been treated that way. However for this man to be so disrespectful to me and my family while we just wanted dinner was uncalled for. I hope you reevaluate your team and fix the issue all of your clients should be treated equally and...
Read moreHey there, amigos! So, I recently took a trip to Sabroso Mexican Grille, and let me tell you, it was a fiesta for the taste buds! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a delicious treat, just like when I surprise my kids with ice cream for dinner (don't tell their mom!).
Now, let's taco 'bout the food! The menu at Sabroso is nacho average Mexican fare. They have all the classics like burritos, tacos, and enchiladas, but with a twist that's fresher than a dad joke. I ordered their famous Carne Asada burrito, and oh boy, it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth! The tender, juicy steak was grilled to perfection, just like how I grill burgers in the backyard (burnt on the outside, pink on the inside). And the homemade salsa? Muy caliente! It had just the right amount of kick, like when I accidentally step on a LEGO in the middle of the night.
The service at Sabroso is top-notch, too. The staff is as friendly as a Golden Retriever, wagging their tails and always ready to help. They made me feel like part of the family, just like when my kids ask me to play GI Joe with them (I make a mean imaginary grenade noise).
Now, I can't forget to mention the atmosphere. Sabroso has a vibrant and colorful décor that instantly transports you to a Mexican fiesta. The walls are covered with sombreros and piñatas, and the music will have you tapping your feet faster than the rhythm of a dad trying to embarrass his kids at a dance party.
And finally, let's taco 'bout the prices. Sabroso offers great value for your dinero, with generous portions that won't break the bank. It's like finding spare change in the couch cushions, but instead of spare change, it's a plate of mouthwatering Mexican goodness.
Sabroso Mexican Grille is a hidden gem that will satisfy your cravings for tasty Mexican food. It's a place where you can enjoy a meal with the family and create memories that are as cheesy as my dad jokes. So, grab your sombrero and head over to Sabroso for a feast that will have you saying 'Holy...
