Having been a loyal patron of Starbucks since it’s inception, I was glad to see a new store pop up on this side of Pelham Rd. The atmosphere is great, the parking is plentiful, there are many seating options and there is outdoor seating available too.
Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed, and this store does not live up to the good Starbucks name. The service I experienced here was poor, unfriendly and slow. I do not recommend this store at all.
First, on the way there, when I was about 10 minutes out, I placed my mobile order, so that it might be ready when I arrived. Regrettably, it took another 10-15 minutes after I arrived for the drink to be ready. No big deal right. After I showed up, my friend I was meeting there ordered at the counter and the barista there barely spoke to him and was non-communicative. Almost 20 minutes later and his drink never showed up. He asked about it and they said someone else must have picked it up, but there was no one else who had come in the store at the time. After some back and forth, she quickly made a drink for him and we thought that was a good response.
After we finished our meeting, I went to get a refill of just a drip coffee on my Starbucks app, since I had ordered my Latte on the app. The barista (Amanda) said that since I didn’t order a regular coffee (which costs $2 something) and ordered a latte (that cost $6+), that she couldn’t charge me for a refill of regular coffee. Instead, she’d just charge a regular drip price, and then explained that has always been Starbucks policy. I explained that I have done the same thing for many years but she said she could not do it and was quite abrupt about it. I understand that I may be incorrect, and that this may not be normative practice but I was completely unaware of that and have always gotten a drip coffee refill after a latte on the Starbucks app. I can understand if this isn’t something she was able to do. I cannot understand the poor customer service though. I will just avoid this store...

Was My Favorite Drink Carmel ribbon crunch..normally the ladies fix my drink.this time at the drive thru window September 26,2023 there were an Indian American or regular white American with black curly hair and the other kid was fixing my drink I really couldn’t see his face,but the both of them were laughing and laughing and the one who was fixing my drink his head was tilt downward constantly and to be honest I don’t ever recall seeing any of the females hanging over by the window area for a long time trying to fix any of my caramel ribbon crunch drinks..this individual spit Spit Spit in my drink and I should’ve known better not to drink that but I did. And I was sick and took me two days to clean my mouth out.I stop drinking sodas but needed something strong to flush his spit out of my mouth..it’s sad and disgusting.I don’t know what word to use. Read moreThough they try ultimately to get things right, it's frustrating when you've been there several times and you order the same thing every time, and you order it today and they look at you like you have 3 eyes. The way I place my order is exactly how SB told me to order, so it tastes like I prefer it. Order comes, the cup is 1/2 full because I don't want to drink foam, and it tastes terrible. It's evident something was left out. So, I take it back up and tell them what the problem is and they remake it, of course still 1/2 full because I don't want to drink foam. I like the drink "slightly shaken" which was exactly what I told them when I ordered, so they opted not to shake it at all - which is okay, but at least put something in the darn cup! Literally, I guarantee you if I had ordered the same thing in a smaller size, I'd have the same amount as in the larger size. It's just frustrating that when you do as they recommend, they still can't get it right, and this isn't the 1st time this specific order type as been wrong.
