Tidal Grounds Coffee — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

THIS IS THE BEST COFFEE SHOP IN THE WHOLE AREA CHARLESTON, MP, etc. BY FAR!!!! Great coffee, good baked goods, and quiche and the staff are great people, who always make great drinks whatever your fancy. SO ALL THE FOLKS TRAVELIING 41 and 17 INTO TOWN EACH DAY FROM MP STOP AND GET YOUR COFFEE HERE IT IS FASTER THEN GOING TO THE STARBUCKS DRIVE THRU'S AND THE COFFEE IS A 10000 TIMES BETTER. Finding a great coffee shop in Charleston is not an easy task because well my hubby and I are kinda spoiled having traveled the world and been to some really great coffee shops. Tidal Grounds is the best as it has all the elements that make is a great coffee shop. And it is family owned!!! And they are the best people ever!!! It has a lovely warm feeling inside and is always a nice place to visit and spend time with a nice cup of joe!!!! And their coffee is to die for made with the best coffee and organic milk what more could...

It’s not the first time that pastries are not fresh but today their nastiness hit new record. When I received the pastry it tasted like rubber. I asked if it’s fresh, I was told “I don’t think so”. I asked if I may just get a refund. I was told to wait. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked what was going on. I was told: “we are trying to get hold of a manager to see if we could give you a refund”. Guys, please learn some customer service! It’s not for the money! As a regular (well, used to be and no more after today), or for any customer, especially if you know it’s not fresh, apologize, offer the refund and say happy new year! You’ll get a life time customer instead of losing a few ones forever. Please someone train these kids the meaning of running a business. Seems like common sense doesn’t exist...

A superb coffee bar.

I visited Tidal Grounds while on business in the area, and it turned out to be the highlight of my trip. The building itself was clean, tasteful, and comfortable, with soulful decor and plenty of seating (including a sunny outdoor patio, and some wonderfully comfy leather loungers that made me feel right at home). The staff, too, were friendly and professional, and my order came out quickly and correctly. From there, I proceeded to have a nice, long, laid-back lunch, kept company by a good book and lovely music and my fellow patrons - bliss! It was a truly memorable experience for me, one which I had to go back and repeat before leaving town :D
