McDonald's — Restaurant in South Elgin

We have visited this McDonalds several times. This was the 1st bad experience. I could barely understand the girl in the drive thru because she didn't speak clearly and I asked her to repeat herself TWICE! Then when I came to the window to get my order I only received the tenders the fries and the soda and was asked to pull to spot#1. I waited 10 MINUTES for a cheeseburger happy meal! Are you kidding me?! The fries at this point were cold and they were actually over cooked and several very dark and soggy. Disgusting! Both mine and my daughters fries were like this. I also did not receive the dipping sauce I asked for...why ask me what kind I would like if you're not going to give it to me?! The chicken tenders are over priced! You get one big one and 2 tiny ones for $3.29! RIPOFF! No one apologized for my wait either! I'm sitting in the car with a toddler upset and crying because Mom got food but she didn't....way to...

I can’t believe it’s gotten to the point where I need to write a review of a McDonald’s, yet here we are...

This location is local to us, so we come here very frequently - today, however, was the last time.

EVERY SINGLE TIME WE COME HERE (sometimes multiple times per week), this staff screws up something in our order. If it’s not missing main items from the simplest of orders, it’s not including sauce when it’s explicitly asked for. Tonight we got home only to realize the nuggets we ordered for my daughter were not included, but they made sure we were charged for them. It’s not worth my time to drive back and sit in line only to have a clueless 15 year old stare at me, so be warned - this location is very poorly managed, so expect your order to be wrong 9 times out of 10.

We arrived around 858 p.m. almost 9p.m. after family funeral, and the lobby doors were locked. We could visibly see someone sitting on the inside eating, but the doors were locked. We chose this McDonald's because it's near the funeral and affordability. We just wanted a quick sit down with the funeral guests and a quick bite. McDonald's associate stated they are short-staffed with only 2 associates there when visibly we could see more than 2 employees there, and they attempted to hide. Please staff this location appropriately and if the lobby is closed due to staffing, make it reflect online so people don't waste their time driving.
