I don’t know why we keep giving this place a chance...

So we tried to eat there the day before - they were out of the food I wanted, so we went somewhere else. I figured we’d try again. My husband ordered our food by phone, he was told the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I was in the car, I wasted some time before going in to pick up the order. I got there about 25 minutes later - food should be ready, right? I paid for the order and ... no food, no explanation. I moved off to the side, and waited. Five minutes. Ten minutes. What was the point of calling ahead?? Fifteen minutes later, I went back up to the counter to get my money back. The woman behind the counter told me that when my husband called, there were other people with orders ahead of him, and of course there would be a wait. If it’s going to be 40 minutes, or an hour, say that! I planned my arrival based on what you told me. The woman then said that my food was on the counter, it would be another 3 minutes for her to get it all together. I then saw her pour my husband’s waffle. My food wasn’t done. It was another 10 minutes before the food was ready.

The staff is rude. Their system for processing orders is sloppy - they used to have two registers, now the other side is covered with boxes. And finally, the food isn’t that great - my husband’s fish was about 75% breading. Stick to the radio Sam, this restaurant isn’t working. We won’t be giving this place...

I come here at least once a week, tonight when I came the service was horrible. I tried calling my order in and they said they weren't taking phone in orders anymore, which Is fine. I completely understand policy. I went in to order, the lady never greeted me, had an attitude when taking my order. They had old chicken sitting in the bin, I asked if I could have my order fresh since I was waiting on a fish dinner as well. She completely ignored my request. Then when the cook came out, he only dropped my fries and fish. When I asked if I could have my chicken fresh as well, he pointed to the old chicken that had been there since I walked in and said that's yours. I then said, "I asked the young lady if I could have it all fresh since I was waiting on my other food." He got an attitude, mumbled under his breathe and said "yeah fresh whatever." He then proceeded to the back and I never saw him again. The young lady was cleaning he restaurant and making my food because he would not finish his "job as a cook." I have never received such bad service here, I am extremely disappointed. I gave THIS LOCATION a 2 ONLY because it was clean. There was no social distancing people hanging over counter where food is handed out. No system or information given when You walk in. I was a first time(and last time) customer. I called in my order for 2 fries w/sauce. I was never asked a size of the fry to choose from. I actually was asked is this all you want? I replied yes and was told 5 minutes. I came to store in about 25-30 minutes and ended up waiting inside store for another 10-15 minutes because the fries were not ready. I was given 2 large fries(their is a price difference between the 2 sizes) and 2 sauce cups were put into the bag instead of ON the fries like requested when I called. I said something about that and I got an eye roll and I said dont worry about it my kids can dip their fries. They were rude and just not helpful. Yet we as black people always say we don't support each other. Well I try from restaurants to contractors. But when I am mistreating AND this was my first experience it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth I spread the word and wont go back. Especially to this location.
