Pete's Burger — Restaurant in South Gate

Burgers and fries are tasty..chilifries need a new chili in my opinion...I would of gave it 4 stars or even 5 but no since they stopped giving refills..We were there to have a quiet Sunday funday dinner, except for the one of the employees came and sat right next to us..We were trying to social distance since they finally opened up the dining room and there was several other booths to sit at...I understand she was on her lunch/break so she needed to eat,but she could had a lil respect and lowered down her phone a bit since she was on Facebook and some random videos,extra loud with a couple of inappropriate words for the kiddos..Bad experience, someone give her some earpods ..ruined our good dinner.... update 9/25/22. Tried the steak sandwich,don't recommend it,a quarter of the steak was all fat...I believe they used dressing instead of mayo,I would switch it....don't recommend...we also tried the wet burrito,I didn't care for it all,the sauce was straight from a can,n the beans were off in my opinion... wouldn't buy it again... place was dirty,had to wipe my own tables....a few flies inside,I wanted to open the door but the ac was on,it was already hot in there,they need to bump it up a few degrees...this is to be the spot,it's been disappointing me...

We were just driving by on our way home from doing errands and got stopped right in front by a red stop light I asked my wife what's all that smoke? She answered back it coming from that restaurant. As we stopped for the light the aroma over took us it was the smell of open flamed burgers, grilled food and open flame goodness. But we didn't stop. We went on to finish our errands and ended our journey at Walmart. All the time the smell still lingering in our minds. As we headed home from Walmart she asked me so what do you want for dinner when we get home? I said " Honestly" Let's go try that place we drove by earlier" she replied "Oh yeah let's go" So off we went! When we arrived we didn't go thru the drive thru we walked in. I ordered a Colossal Burger and she ordered the Veggie burger combo and we left. To our surprise when we got home we unwrapped out burgers and Wow they were Big very big and they weren't just good they were Great. Check this place out for your self...

Horrible service. My husband went through the drive-thru and when he got home our order was completely wrong. He had to go back and and once they saw him even though there was ten minutes till closing, they immediately closed the drive thru window and till and and turned off the lights to signal him to go away. Now we understand that you're almost closed and we're not the kind of people to give attitude to service workers since we've worked in the food industry. We although did pay extra for food that wasn't properly made hence why he went back. He was given attitude by a woman who he didn't even give attitude to at first. He explained the situation and she just said"yeah..yeah...yeah". So, just a heads up, if they mess up your order you'll probably be given attitude even though you didn't do...
