Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in South Gate

I will say that the food I've gotten has been good but the service is horrible. Expect to wait AT LEAST 30 min to get your food. This is a constant issue. Doesn't matter if you go to the drive thru or order inside. From what it looks like, the workers prioritize the drive thru over the customers who order inside.

When I ordered inside I walked up to the counter and waited patiently...there were a handful of people inside waiting for their orders. None of the workers even acknowledged that I was there until I said something...mind you I had orders ahead of time to avoid having to wait. I was at the counter just to ask about my order. People inside were getting impatient. There was a customer who was complaining...he had every right to do so, because he had ordered a 2 piece chicken meal and had been waiting for an hour and still hadn't gotten his food.

There was also a worker there who was literally just standing there...he looked like he was nauseous or under the influence. And of course, the people in the drive thru were getting their orders faster than the customers inside.

Advice to management: Get more people to work to make wait times shorter, hire people with actual customer service skills...at the end of the day they're getting paid so they should act like it. I'm not saying the workers need to be super enthusiastic. I'm just asking for workers with basic customer service skills...like acknowledging the customer and saying "Hi, I'll be with you in just a few minutes" rather than completely ignoring them.

Even though I ordered ahead of time, I still had to wait an additional 45 min when I got there just for 2 spicy chicken...

We had a duplicate charge in our account & noticed this branch charged us twice. I called & asked to speak with a manager and was told the only person that could help me would be the general manager & she would not be in until Sunday afternoon. I called and spoke to GM Jackie who told me I would have to come in person and bring receipt. Ok typically throw them away but had this one in my purse so it worked out. I went in person and GM never apologized, looked upset she had to reimburse me, almost as if it was an inconvenience. I reminded her I had to take time out of my day off to do this because of a mistake they made and could’ve at least offered me something out of courtesy, a side or drink but no, nothing. Not going back here even if it’s the closest one. I believe Jackie is not just the GM but also one...

So I drove all over the place trying to locate a Popeyes so that I could get their new frozen strawberry lemonade. I get there order three after waiting for I don't know how long the individual finally told me we only have enough syrup to make one strawberry and we can give you two regular frozen lemonades. You're not giving me anything I'm paying if you are giving me I wouldn't complain but you're not giving me anything and trying to make me feel that is unfair it makes me upset. Also I ordered a chicken wing meal combo and I ordered strips combo you gave me two strips combo. One of the things people that run drive-through should do is listen, listening gets you no complaints because then you don't miss anything....
