Everything here was subpar with no efforts to change. Red Robin's is so well known and everything goes here for their fries and that's the only good thing here despite a 3 page menu (back and forth). We went in and the wait was 15 minutes to be seated which was understandable since it was dinner time. We were seated and as soon as we sat down, our waitress came over to take our order. It literally hasn't even been 2 minutes and we hadn't even opened our menus yet. So we asked for a few minutes and that turned into a good 20 minutes before we had to remind another server to take our order. The other server called our actual server who then took our order. The food came 30 minutes later after ordering and the plates were not clean, looked mishandled even the small side sauces we requested in our order were handled with dirty hands. And we could tell since there were stains all over the container. We reluctantly ate the food. The food was abysmal. The Mac and cheese was just pasta with minimal cheese. I had ordered the Bottomless House Salad but was given a Caesar salad instead. The clam chowder had a pudding and weirdly gooey consistency (I know clam chowder is supposed to be thick but this was at a whole different level), the veggie burger in the past has always been a potato patty or some potato in it and this looked very deceiving. The chicken with salad that was ordered was very cold and extremely chewy. The only star of the whole meal were the fries that came with the veggie burger. So we ordered a side of extra fries and another salad because we had to eat something that was at least halfway decent and our waitress took the order. Literally 5 minutes later, she came to our table and started clearing our whole table without any notice from us. The table beside us had ordered extra fries around the same time as us and they seemed to have gotten their order but she completely spaced out on our table. So instead of waiting for another 30 minutes again for fries and salad and since our waitress didn't even care that we were waiting for more salad and fries, we just used the payment screen on the table and got out of there. The waitress was standing as we were leaving and didn't even acknowledge our pending order or us. Such a disappointing meal, poor service and experience we had here. I wouldn't recommend Red Robin's and if you do intend to visit, it's probably best to just...
Read moreI am genuinely shocked that this place is still open and has customers at all.
I went in on February 5 around 5:50 PM. I walked up to the hostess stand and said I had a party of three (myself and my two kids). I stood there for a moment expecting them to take my name down but instead they said they will remember who came in first and that’s how they were doing it. You can imagine how that went. As more and more parties showed up, they lost track of who came in first. You could see the panic in the hostesses face. Then it came down to us, the guests, letting them know who came in first. You could also hear the hostess and host arguing about seating. About who came in first. At this point, I should have known and just found somewhere else to eat with the kids because they were hungry.
Then I get sat at my table with my kids and we do not see our server for, I am not over exaggerating, 15 minutes. When she finally came by, I ordered two apple juices, two kids waters, an adult water, and two kids mac & cheese, one with french fries and one with oranges. I decided not to order food for myself because I was afraid that it would only make it take longer. It’s another 10 minutes until we see our server again with drinks. Except we were only given one apple juice, one case, water, and an adult water. I ask for another apple juice like I ordered and a fry refill to keep the kids happy, as they are pretty hungry at this point. This was the last time I saw my server. I never got the other apple juice, never got my fry refill, never got any of the food I ordered.
I give it another 20 minutes to get my kids food before I ask for the manager and let her know to cancel my meal because we are leaving. As someone who has worked at red Robin in the past, I know that the kids mac & cheese with fries and oranges should take nothing but a few minutes to make. Considering they are refillable items and do not take long at all. Having my kids wait 30 minutes for two kids Mac & cheeses is absurd. That’s not even counting the time that we had to wait until we eventually saw our server.
Again, I have no idea how this place is still open and I highly suggest everyone to go...
Read moreMy wife and I went on our first date in years, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I’m not sure if people have just lowered their expectations for food quality or if new regulations require food to be served at colder temperatures, but our meal was far from enjoyable.
We started with the pickle nickels, which arrived cold, as if they had just come from the fridge. I didn’t mind too much, so we let it slide. However, when our burgers arrived, they were just as cold—literally the same temperature as my iced water. We asked the waitress if they could heat them up, but we were told they would have to remake them instead.
The new burgers were rushed out on a red ticket, yet they still arrived cold and missing ingredients. Not only that, but mine had the bare minimum toppings—just three caramelized onions and two burnt pieces on one burger, while the other had none at all. We requested to speak with the manager twice, but the server informed us they were too busy to talk to us. At that point, we gave up and just ate the cold food.
To add to the frustration, I ordered a drink that was made incorrectly and had to settle for it as well. The fries that came with all four burger meals were also cold, and the replacement basket they brought was barely warm. I even ordered cheese sauce, which had a skin on top—clear proof that it was cold.
What made the experience even more disheartening was our server, who was clearly distraught and almost in tears. She was genuinely trying to do her job correctly but was being hindered by the rest of the staff. It was obvious she cared about the service, but she wasn’t being supported by her team. She was the only reason we didn’t get up and leave or ask for a discount. Despite everything, she still tried to make things right, even offering consolation items, which we declined.
Thank you to our server—you did your best, and we truly appreciate it. Spending $90 for two burgers and two drinks should come with quality food and good service, but unfortunately, we got neither. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience, and I hope the restaurant takes...
