I would give a zero star review if I could. I went here to have my engagement ring sized down. Itās gold, with diamonds and a center moonstone. The woman who āhelped meā was rude from the start. She asked me what my ring cost, I didnāt know so she asked me to estimate (isnāt that your job, not mine?) apparently I estimated a little high (by about $250) because she scoffed, rolled her eyes and literally laughed in my face saying āno, much lower than thatā. Excuse me for overvaluing something precious to me. Regardless, I handed my ring over and she said they would call me the next day with a estimate for the cost to resize it. They did not call me the next day. I called them late in the evening and was told they havenāt even looked at it yet and theyād call me the next day. That call did come, and the price was a reasonable $75. I agreed to it and was told theyād call me when it was ready for pickup. I received that call on a Saturday, and went to pick up my ring that evening. Everything seemed fine at first, I was just excited to have my ring back. Upon further inspection, things are not fine. The center stone is so loose it rattles now. The band is warped and bent where they cut and resized it. The taper in the band is uneven and looks terrible. I called to see what could be done to make things right, and it was no use. I was told Iād need to drop my ring off with them again. Thereās no way I would hand my ring across their counter again. Iāll be taking my jewelry elsewhere from now on and I will be telling my family and friends to NEVER allow Fred Meyer Jewelers to touch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought in a ring that was purchased for me 7 years ago. Something on it was catching threads, etc. I assumed it was a clasp and it would need repair. The woman working at the time was rude from the get-go. She said if I had been bringing my ring in every year to have it inspected, like everyone else does, a repair would be covered. Okay. Then she claims she tried to sell me the extended warranty but I didn't want it. I told her she didn't because I didn't buy the ring. She repeated that two more times. I corrected her again, and again. At this point, I realize I'm dealing with an employee with an attitude. Now she starts talking about the stones and how lucky I am that I didn't lose any. Great. She talks about how I can trade up for only a few thousand dollars. No thanks. Finally, she goes back to looking at the ring and begins to write down all the problems she sees. She ends up with a lot of numbers on separate lines with a grand total of just under $5,000. Seriously. The experience was gross and really unpleasant. 3 weeks later, I take my ring into a respected jeweler for a repair estimate. He says it's an easy repair. The cost will be $40. Seriously. We're not buying a thing from FM...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love shopping at Fred Meyer. I live all the way down by the South Hill Mall and I used to go once sometimes even twice a week, but that was when I got their ad in the Sunday paper, now I don't even know where they're ad is located other than online. So I hadn't been there in a few of months because I like to look at an ad before I go shopping. I just so happened to be thinking about how much I missed shopping there, so I decided to just pop in and see what they had on sale and I was very happy that I did. I didn't realize how much I missed shopping at that store. They had a bunch of clearance clothing items for women and children that's as far as I got, so I'm going to assume it included men also. They also had a bunch of shoes that were also on clearance... everything was up to 50, 60, 70% off the lowest marked price and let me tell you, they have some really good deals all the way around!!! I went in to grocery shop and I ended up walking out of there with clothing, shoes and a bunch of...
