Edited AGAIN Their online order process needs help. Placed an order. didn't get confirmation that it was placed. Didn't get an approx time for pickup. Headed there 15 minutes later. There were to go orders (most Door Dash) waiting, but not mine. They checked the computer. I think they just overlooked it. Waited 45 minutes while Door Dash orders and other orders were filled. A guy came in and said, "I just placed my order. It's prob not ready." It came out 5 minutes later. No wonder people get angry! But, I guess that is standard. It is stated on their website - which also says "Happy Thanksgiving." It's April. Their pickup wait time if 45 mins. Their delivery time is 35. That doesn't make sense! Checked my order and had to go back in to ask for my rice. The poor boy that had to keep interacting with me returned and said the online service only offers 1 of the items offered. Does not state "Pick one." Just offers sides and has a price next to the naan. No apology or customer service. I would've offered free rice for making my customer wait so freaking long. Might find myself a dif Indian go to. Save myself some energy spent on emotions.
Edited They really need some help in house. Always have angry people waiting to be seated or collecting their Door Dash orders. (Valentine's Day was a joke. We left.) Their food is really good, so people do wait. I ordered a Door Dash once and it took 90 minutes to be delivered. Felt sorry for the delivery guy. The dish my son ordered, lamb sekuwa, almost killed him. He's allergic to tree nuts. The description of the dish had no nuts. Nowhere on there menu does it give a warning. He can handle a little taste. But, the second he bit into the lamb, his tongue started swelling and he had to run for his medication. Not OK! Called to discuss an edit on their menu. But, the manager is only in during their busiest times, 6-8. BTW the next Door Dash delivery (my son was not home) came in 20 minutes. I really want them to succeed. But, they've got to do better.
Tried out this joint instead of our usual Indian dining joint which has lost our interest lately. Glad we did! I think this will be our new go to! All 3 of us loved our dishes and the naan. Large menu. They offered brown rice and whole wheat bread. Nice atmosphere. Decent...
Read moreToday, my taste buds were graced with a treat, courtesy of Karuwaa. This gem of an Indian restaurant truly knows how to make flavors come alive, even if its ambiance might be a bit understated.
The biryani was nothing short of a masterpiece. Every grain of rice was aromatic, perfectly seasoned, and it harmoniously intermingled with tender pieces of meat that had clearly been marinated to perfection. Each bite was a reflection of dedication and expertise in the culinary arts.
However, the chicken tikka masala was an equal contender for the spotlight. The chicken was tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth, and the masala sauce was a bold and flavorful dance of spices. It struck the ideal balance between creaminess and zest, ensuring that each mouthful was an experience in itself.
The highlight of the evening, apart from the delightful dishes, was undoubtedly the service. Deep, our server, truly raised the bar. His commitment to ensuring we had the best dining experience was evident in his attentiveness and the care with which he served us. Every recommendation he made was spot-on, and his warmth and professionalism only amplified the quality of our evening.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a culinary experience where the food not only speaks but sings, and service that makes you feel genuinely valued, Karuwaa should be on your list. Do give my regards to Deep when you're there; his excellence is a testament to the passion that drives this...

I’ve been cooking Indian food at home for over two decades and have eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants across the U.S.—from hole-in-the-wall dhabas to upscale regional kitchens—and Karuwaa easily ranks among the best.
The flavors were absolutely impeccable. Balanced, bold, and deeply layered—the kind of seasoning that tells you someone in that kitchen cares about what they’re putting on the plate. Nothing was overly oily or masked by cream. Every spice note had a place, and every dish had integrity.
Portions were generous without being bloated—plenty to leave full, maybe even with leftovers, but not the kind of overloaded plates that sacrifice quality for size. This was thoughtful food, made with skill.
Service-wise, I wouldn’t call it top-tier in terms of attentiveness—no one checking in every five minutes or hovering—but honestly, I prefer that. The staff was friendly, and the food came out fast and hot, which is what really counts.
If you’re looking for real flavor—not watered-down or Americanized—and you actually know what good Indian food is supposed to taste like, Karuwaa will not disappoint. I’ll be back, and next time I’m...
