My friend and I had a hankering for some fresh oysters after a long day of bike-riding and found this to be the best semi-local best option (within 20mins of us). We were on a time constraint and knew we only had less than an hour to grab a drink, an app and some oysters and luckily were able to get in and out in a jiff! We were directed to the bar directly behind the hostess stand as soon as we arrived. I ordered the Jackalope drink, and I liked the spice and strength. They don't list their drinks on their site, so from memory, I believe it had jalapeno, cucumber, and lime muddled in it. I didn't know it was going to be a martini as it doesn't denote that on the menu, or else I would have asked for it served differently. The oyster list is conveniently posted on the wall to the left of the bar, so ordering what and from where was easy. There were only four types of oysters available, so my friend ordered all of them to try. I only had the kumomotos and the kusshis. Both were good, but I preferred the kusshis (which were recommended by the bartender) as I like smaller oysters more than larger ones. We also shared the Hot Crab, Spinach & Artichoke Dip appetizer. It came with tortilla chips, and they offered us some good-lookin' sourdough. I really liked this app (sorry, forgot to take a pic) because it had a lot of crab in it, but it wasn't fishy at all. Service was very friendly and attentive, and prices are fair. Not the best oysters I've ever had but that's to be expected not being near the coast anymore. I would definitely return when I have a hankering again!

Open, airy restaurant that's ready for some paint or a remodel. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, refilling our glasses frequently and checking on us often. We ordered a side salad to share. He split our salad and put it on 2 plates. The salads were extremely simple. But the presentation of the dressing and oil and vinegar made it feel like slightly nicer. We've never been to Market Street Grill before. I was a bit surprised when our straws were thrown at us. And the waiter reached over us, across the table, to fetch things on the other side. Then, he abruptly wiped off the table after picking up some of our dishes. I dismissed this, telling myself these things might be something they do specifically at MSG, maybe part of the culture for this particular restaurant. I could tell my salmon was fresh. It was tender and flaky but extremely bland, with very little flavor. As were the veggies on the side. The cucumber dill sauce was good but not enough to make up for the lack of flavor. My husband's fish and chips were good. He didn't love the chips. But he's English, and the chips were just American fries. Crème Brule was okay, but nothing special. I expected a little more for the restaurant prices. I had a good view of the kitchen area where the staff was constantly coming and going. The staff all seemed to be positive and very encouraging toward each other. Overall, we had a very underwhelming experience. For the price point, we'll go somewhere else in the future.

Truly the WORST experience i have ever had any restaurant, I still can’t believe what happened tonight. Our server Clark started off with calling me and partner “cool kids” then proceeded to put a customers dirty plates next to our fresh food, then dropped my silverware across the table that i had to catch, when i caught it he said “that’s my girl” which was SO uncomfortable and i couldn’t believe he said that. When bringing our drinks out he literally smelt, smelt my freaking drinks because he didn’t know which was which. He stuck his nose in my drinks. I thought this would be the end of the chaos but oh was i wrong, our server didn’t check on us ONE time. Not a single time did he ask us how was our food, didn’t refill our drinks once, i had to call over another server after waiting 8 minutes for lemons and ketchup. We also were his last table of the night and we’re there an hour and half before closing. His ONLY table and he didn’t bother checking in on us once. My partners $86 lobster still had it’s disgusting full poop trail/intestine like truly i couldn’t believe it. By this point I am so over the situation and just want to leave, it took him another 8 minutes for us to gets boxes after we are finished eating sitting there. After getting our boxes and check we’re sitting there for another 7 minutes waiting for him to check us out I walked the check over my self to him, where he was standing talking with an employee so i had to personally hand him my check. I have no idea if this employee was under the influence or had something going on tonight but this was truly the worst experience I have ever had and I will never be going back to this location. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable being served by anyone in my life.

We had a great time and brunch! My family and I visited Market Street Grill on Sunday, and we were sat down and ordered quickly. There was no wait, which was awesome. The ambiance was bright, spacious and unstuffy with tall ceilings. There is a fish market which has a scent of fish in the air, but not pungent. The decor is very east coast I ordered a mimosa and the two piece fish and chips. My husband did also- as well as a bowl of clam chowder- and our son got the French toast. We were served buns with with a cinnamon orange glaze. Very good- I wish we had more glaze (mine was a bit bare) but still yummy. Honestly, everything was delicious. The mimosa was fresh squeezed with some pulp and sparkly bright, and there was a cranberry option too. The chowder was creamy and robust- a generous portion and served with a lovely hunk of sourdough- not dry or hard to pull apart. My son's French toast was good as well, but a bit less sweet than he was hoping. Make sure to make use of the butter, which in a bowl on the table before we were sat. The fish was smashing! Breading was light, super crisp, and the fish was flaky and perfectly cooked. I loved the fries too- crispy and tasty! Our meal was about $66 before tip. One thing I was disappointed by was the bathrooms. They were pretty dirty. All in all, we had a great visit! We will go again for sure.

I'm sorry to say I'm not going back. Service was average, food was average, price is way above average. I honestly felt like my cedar plank salmon was on par with what I'd expect if Denny's had a salmon dish. Which is fine if you're not paying top dollar. I was hoping for a thick salmon filet and got a skinned slice from the tail. It came with a mashed potato side AND a potatoes and carrots side? The mashed potatoes were a thick lump in the shape of an ice cream scoop plopped on my plate. They seemed resistant to fork penetration. The carrots were lazily chopped into chunks so large I had to use my knife to cut them down to bite size. The side had no detectable sauce and was dry. My wife's sole filet was probably 40% breading, which, granted, some people might enjoy. Last time we ate here was several years ago and we left feeling like we were scammed, but decided to give it another chance. We were hoping for some halibut, but it wasn't on the menu. Our server didn't bother to explain the specials and I thought I overheard another server explaining a halibut special to his table. Service was slow and unattentive. The atmosphere is unique in Utah with an east coast seafood restaurant feeling. The sourdough bread is still top notch as was the clam chowder.

Market Street Grill in South Jordan, UT, is a true gem when it comes to fresh and delicious seafood. As a seafood lover, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and variety of dishes offered. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The menu features a wide range of seafood options, and everything I tried was outstanding. I had the Market Street Salad with a pound of shrimp and crab, which was exceptional. The shrimp and crab were incredibly fresh and flavorful, perfectly complementing the crisp, vibrant salad. The clam chowder was another highlight, rich and creamy with tender clams, offering a comforting and hearty start to the meal. What sets Market Street Grill apart is the undeniable freshness of their seafood. Each dish tasted like it had just been caught, which is a rare find in Utah. Overall, Market Street Grill is a must-visit for anyone in South Jordan or the surrounding area looking for top-notch seafood. It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in their work, and it shows in every bite. I’ll definitely be returning for more of their incredible offerings.
