I was very happily surprised to see that this establishment is still open. The last time I visited was about three months prior to the pandemic, and we all know of many places that closed as a result of COVID.

I sat at the bar, as I was by myself, and I cannot tell you who my waitress was. Everyone at the bar interacted with me, and it was wonderful! The entire waitstaff was dressed in custom-printed shirts which looked brand new. All of the ladies had fresh faces with hair tied back, as one would expect in a business of food service. It should be obvious that I have a very high opinion of the employees for this cafe.

The sandwich that I ordered was excellent! It was a reuben corned beef melt with kraut and dressing. The reuben was absolutely the real thing, it was not a lower grade corned beef pretending to be a premier product. The sandwich was not dripping with excessive quantities of condiments, and I was able to eat it without having to constantly wipe my hands. I was extremely satisfied with a sandwich that melted in my mouth. The product about which I am writing is the top special on the lunch menu, and it deserves to be.

I have every intention of visiting Rachel's Cafe for breakfast as I am now on vacation, and I very much look forward to another experience. The website mentions "Best Coffee in RI". I will have to...

I hate to leave bad reviews for small local businesses but this place deserves it. The service was terrible but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because they looked understaffed. I got a couple muffins to go, an iced coffee, and an iced latte. The iced coffee was ok, nothing special, but the iced latte was disgusting. They don’t use fresh ground beans for espresso but a little pre packaged bag of ground beans that goes into the basket. The muffins are alright, I could bake better ones, heck Starbucks could bake better ones. I would skip this place and walk a couple minutes down the street to the coffee house.

Edit: After reading other poor reviews and the owner’s response, I’ve lost respect for this establishment. The owner is leaving passive aggressive responses and making excuses like being short staffed and post pandemic even though every other business is experiencing the same struggles. The responses are honestly comical, they should have someone proof read before they hit post. I’d be embarrassed to work for someone who runs a business like this. They should redirect the effort they put into defending their restaurant and actually...

We’d gone here for awhile and always enjoyed— heard through the grapevine the owner changed? Waited over 45 mins to sit and at least 20 for someone to make eye contact with us to say it would be a bit (as we gazed at the several empty tables piled with dirty dishes). We will take ownership here because we honestly should have left then but we had hungry kids and figured by the time we went elsewhere the time would be the same. Finally sat down, about another 20-30mins before we ordered. Made a comment and the waitress gave me a snide remark about how the timing didn’t matter because they only had one cook (?) in which I responded I understood but they need to keep us in the loop. Maybe that’s why our food was cold and gross? Truly a simple apology, or “things are a bit backed up but we’ll be with you in 5 mins” would have made a huge difference. Just clearly poor management. Literally went a few months ago and they had the best home fries— these were cold with like canned minced garlic on them. Not sure what changed, but certainly...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rachel's Cafe in Wakefield, Rhode Island, and it was an unforgettable breakfast experience! My wife ordered "The Common," which featured eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, and pancakes. Each dish was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection. I opted for the Portuguese Eggs Benedict, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful—definitely a must-try! Our waitress, Brooke, was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home, adding to the warm atmosphere of the café. We even had the chance to meet the owner, Carlos, who was exceptionally nice and let us sample his homemade corned beef hash. It was fantastic! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received, and the café itself was clean and inviting. Overall, Rachel's Cafe is one of the best breakfast spots we've ever visited, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a welcoming atmosphere!

We’re from out of town visiting relatives and stopped by here for brunch. The place is beautifully decorated and if you’re into ambiance the way I am, it counts a lot. More importantly the place is clean, well lit, friendly staff, and unbelievably delicious food. I had the avocado and spinach omelette, and the eggs were cooked just right (not overcooked), the spinach and avocado and tomatoes were fresh, and the server couldn’t have been friendlier or more efficient. The menu also offers gluten free options! The gender neutral bathroom is clean and wheelchair accessible. We definitely plan to come back here in future visits.

Great place to go to for brunch/lunch! I’ve been here two times so far, with my grandmother. First time I got an acai bowl and second time I got a summer salad with chicken, both were really good. The way they do the chicken they put in the salads is phenomenal. Portion size is great. The waitress with the orange hair was super cheerful, and helpful the last time I was here. Definitely will be back to try more things on the menu!
