UPDATE: This place has improved a fair deal since they got smacked pretty hard by business fluctuations from covid. I was glad to see that the present ownership has taken a more active role in checking out reviews that have legitimate concerns to them. It seems like though the employees are still a bit hard worked, they are doing their absolute best to get things done and good and I do appreciate that. Please keep up the great work in this direction.
ORIGINAL: I placed my order. The app told me it would be 26-36 minutes until it was ready for pickup. I took the 20 minute drive across town. Upon arrival at the local Domino's, I noticed that the order had never moved past the "Prep" stage. We waited 15 minutes, with the order still making no progress on the app, before my friend went in to see if it was ready (as he was paying). He had to wait outside a good 7 minutes, as the local Domino's only allows 3 people in the lobby at a time, but doesn't apparently do anything about telling people they should wait outside (ESPECIALLY if there's NO IMMEDIATE NEED for them to even be IN THERE). When he finally was able to go in, they told him it would be ANOTHER 35-45 minutes from that point (WELL past the 36 minute estimation) and asked if we wanted to cancel. He came back to tell me, and I told him we should cancel it. I tried calling in to cancel it, only for the phone to ring through a good 40 times or (upon hanging up and trying again) come back busy. He went back inside to do so, had to try 5 times getting the girl's attention to tell her to cancel (all while the phone was ringing off the hook with NOBODY picking it up), and was offered nothing at all for the ludicrous amount of inconvenience and straight lying via the app. I don't know if this is how Domino's likes to allow its franchises to run or if this is a symptom of another terrible Tahoe business, but there has got to be a level of quality SOMEWHERE. For now though, this has put me off trying to go back to Dominos for...
Read moreAfter a long, exhausting day driving around Lake Tahoe with family, we (four adults and two kids) decided to keep the evening simple by ordering pizza from Domino’s. I placed the order at 8:47 PM while still on the cruise, hoping to pick it up quickly and enjoy dinner at home. The order was ready by 9:15 PM, and I didn’t open the boxes until we got back.
To our shock, all three pizzas were completely inedible: • The Thin Crust Veggie Pizza had raw, uncooked vegetables simply thrown on top. • The Thin Crust Buffalo Chicken Pizza was completely burned. • The Thin Crust Spinach & Feta Pizza was missing half its toppings.
I called the store immediately at 9:30 PM, and the person on the phone offered to remake the pizzas for pickup at 10:00 PM. Though we were tired and just wanted to relax, I agreed because the kids were hungry.
However, when I arrived at the store at 10:00 PM, the pizzas weren’t ready. Instead, I was questioned by the manager, who initially refused to remake the pizzas unless I provided proof. After some back and forth, she reluctantly agreed to remake two of the pizzas—like it was a favor—then even brought out an uncooked pizza to question me further. At that point, I had enough and told them not to bother with the replacements.
This entire experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Instead of ending the day on a good note, I felt insulted and disrespected—not to mention, our dinner plans were ruined. It’s unfortunate that a customer has to argue and prove their case just to receive the quality of food they paid for.
Attached are the pictures of the food and the receipt...
Read moreLast week I ordered on the app and waited the longer of the wait times provided. The tracker was not updating showing the order was ready and when I went in the two employees were not even working on my order which was clearly up on the screen in front of them. It was not busy and they were just wandering around. They told me it would be 15-20 minutes so after 20 minutes I went back in and it was still not ready. Ended up waiting in my car for over thirty minutes to get my order. Now tonight I ordered again thinking last week’s experience was an anomaly. It has been 35 minutes since I placed the order and it says it will be ready soon but only shows that Graham started prepping the order. Tried calling several times to avoid waiting in the car and the call cannot go through at this time. If you want pizza ready in a reasonable time I would not go to this Dominos. Update: Finally got our order and I would definitely not recommend getting pasta. There are only about 20 pieces of penne. Ordered extra cheese on both pizzas and there was hardly any cheese let alone any toppings. My kids were so hungry that they still devoured the pizza before I could take a pic of the entire pizza. Lowering my original 3 stars for the food to one. Just don’t bother with...
