I’m a little late on writing this review but I promised myself I wouldn’t forget too. I went in like 2 weeks ago right before taking a state exam next door at Pearson view . I was tired and really sleepy. I went in like 45 minutes before my exam to have a coffee , donut and study a little more . I was greeted by John ( I hope I’m not getting his name wrong ). I told him , I needed something to wake me up . He made his recommendations and I got an ice coffee and a min keylime donut . I told him I was taking a big teaching test shortly .
He was AMazing!!! He checked on me about my coffee and donut . Then I overheard him tell his co workers how he hoped I passed my test . I told him thank you ! He was like “ we need teachers so I really hope you do well .” I loved my coffee and the donut . To be honest there was nothing mini about that donut . It was smaller than the others but definitely mighty . The filling tasted just like a keylime pie . I genuinely enjoyed it but what made my visit so extra special was John’s customer service .
When I left he wished me luck and even told me to come back and let him know if I passed my test . He was like you just got to believe that you already passed. I feel like I ended up at the right place before my test , with a genuinely happy and positive person . I passed my test! I went back to tell him but he had already gone for the day . I hope the owners see this review and that I got the right name . You have an amazing employee . I got way more than a coffee and donut . I got a great customer service experience, that now I will positively always remember. Those state exams make you really nervous and his positivity made a difference. By the end two other workers even wished me luck . Thank you John, for going above...
Read moreComing back to town from Tampa and the welcome and overall service I always receive in the South Miami location is truly unmatched. Having some background in baking I tend to notice when changes are made to recipes so you could only imagine how mortified I was when I went to the Tampa location and the traditional glazed donuts (silent golden rule: MUST nail these as they tend to be the base of every other donut) were truly like hockey pucks. Unlike all the donuts from the south Miami location, these donuts from Tampa Hyde location were dense with extremely thick glaze on all donuts I purchased: traditional, pistachio, and chocolate glazed. The manager/employee who attended me wasn’t even aware of the $5 off 1/2 dozen bundle special that was occurring that week until I told him and even then he had to check a clipboard to confirm the validity of my statement. In an attempt to find a resolution to having to throw away an entire box of donuts and essentially my money, I reached out to Salty donut on IG and received absolutely no response from their team (see photo below- sent on Friday 10/25/24). Anyways, all this to say… if other stores are not performing up to the consistent standards (product and service -wise) some changes should be made… starting with proofing your dough adequately @ TAMPA. (I should’ve gotten a hint that the donuts were poorly made from the disaster that was on display.)
Shout out to the manager and employees of South Miami for always making my...
Read moreI was hungry, so I went on Uber Eats looking for something to satisfy my sweet tooth. I saw this donut shop, I'm very familiar with Mojo donuts, but you never really attracted me because they have strange flavors. The one going over the menu here at the salty donut, I realized that they actually take the time to see what flavors compliment other flavors,. All I can tell you, is that this place is expensive. $4 a donut. That's just the minimum. Now is it worth it? If you have money to splurge, when you want to try the best donuts in the world, then this is your place to go to. Since the donuts are pretty big and they have a lot of weight to them, meaning that they are not just fried dough. As a matter of fact, they use brioche for their donut creations. Attention management, I would like to know at what time you make your donuts everyday. And are they made in your actual store? Or are they made in a central processing facility, like Dunkin donuts, and then shipped to the stores in the morning.
Thank you and keep up the good work, by the way, if anybody is considering ordering from this place, and I don't feel like driving there, don't use Uber eats. They deliver themselves and if you use them for the first time, and you go to the actual website, they'll give you a $5 off loyalty discount, because it's your first time ordering from rhejfrom them Uber Eats does...
