I have been eating at la granja locations for many, many years and frequent them almost weekly. I also have visited this location in the past, but wow, have things changed at this location. So I walked up to the register to order as in all la granjas, but girl says for here? I said yes so she says you have to sit to take order that the counter is for take out orders only, ok so I sit and she walked over and I told her my order as I knew what I wanted, off she goes and little while later my food arrives. I ordered arroz con marisco (yellow rice with seafood) and a mixed ceviche with soda. Seafood rice arrived very soupy and smelled horrible (of spoiled seafood) so I was waiting for her to come by or get her attention but no avail so I walked up to counter , plate in hand and said sorry this has a horrible bad smell to it and if they didn't have fresh seafood to remake it just give me a Lomo (steak) instead. Little bit later, Lomo showed up and can finally eat dinner. I had gone up to soda dispenser to refill my empty glass twice by that point. After dinner, I again walked up to the counter to pay my bill as she never came to my table once. When I looked at Bill, they automatically charged a 20% tip fee in the bill. I asked her why there was a 20% tip included here as she did nothing besides bring out a plate that I could have easily gotten 5 feet away as in all the other la granjas. She says yes, we charge the tip here. Well, I won't ever visit that location again and hope she enjoys the 8 dollars she made for doing nothing. Trust me, I have no problem tipping for service, but to be forced and get zero service is wrong. Do better owner of that la granja, learn from all the other very successful ones like...
Read more12/9/2023 - Food was horrible, I ordered the lomo saltado and the meat tasted like Fabuloso. My niece mentioned that her burger tasted like flowers. I took a bite of a small piece of meat and it tasted funny as well. So I tried 2 more pieces and spit them out!! I took my plate inside (my family and I sat outside) showed it to the cashier and told her that the meat tasted like Mistolin of which she didn’t know what i was talking about. I explained it tasted like cleaning product. To which she asked me if I wanted them to make me another plate, I said NO! I went back outside and our waitress didn’t bother to come and check on us. We proceeded to go inside and pay for the meals that were not affected by the cleaning product. We explained to her that my niece’s food also tasted “floral” and she didn’t say anything about it. She made it seem as if we weren’t going to pay for the bill. Then told us that the meat i ordered is cooked in a different manner/area from the fried steak rice my sister-in-law ordered. And that possibly the area was cleaned and still had product on it causing the meat to taste like cleaner. I watched them place raw meat container on the sink. Under the sink were different cleaning products. All the cashier had to say to us was “Que extraño”… I’ve had salmonella poisoning 1 year ago and I pray to God it doesn’t happen again because the employees mishandle their products. On top of that the still charged the...
Read moreI use to love La granga and was very excited about One opening in my neighborhood until I went in last Friday. I ordered a simple chicken breast meal and a arepa. First after standing there waiting for my order I notice people who came in after me leave. I ask the attendant for my food and was given this response “oh your that guy” then they removed a portion of my meal from a box that was placed aside. Removed the chicken and began to reheat. They realized they were missing my arepa, so one of them tried to hide it has he grabbed it from the freezer and dropped it! He quickly gabbed it with his hand tossed it in a grill while I was at this point arguing with a man claiming to be a manager. I watched this employee take the arepa and toss it into the fryer and back on to the grill twice! They then tried to justify it as “ there process for cooking!!!!” They refused to refund me my money and insisted on me letting them cook my food! I have never been so disappointed and disgusted with any restaurant in my life! This took the cake!! The blatant lie to my face in trying to explain forgetting my meal, reheating it, dropping the arepa they forgot, then they tossed on skillet and fryer back and forth in a wild attempt to cook is ridiculous!!! I may not look Hispanic and that does not mean I don’t know how a meal should and shouldn’t be cooked! Avoid this location it’s a...
