El Famous Beto's Mexican Fast Food — Restaurant in South Ogden

Last two times I pulled up to the drive through they didn’t answer to take my order. Waited over 5 minutes and decided to go in. Each time the staff was chatting with friends and ignoring customers. The food is great, they do a great job with everything we order, but the service is terrible.

Update: tried to go there again. Against my better judgment, I wanted to try the drive-through again. I waited over five minutes and nothing and no one answered to ask for my order. I pulled around to the drive-through and there were no cars in the drive-through like there were when I first arrived. I went inside and there’s no one waiting in line. If you are looking to spend almost $10 on a tiny burrito that is just a little bit larger than a Taco Bell burrito supreme, then you have found the right place!

Beto's used to be known for their giant burritos at great prices. (15 years ago, they were less than $4. The price has increased by roughly 5% a year since then, much higher than the inflation rate.) I have a pretty large appetite and used to eat 2/3 of a breakfast burrito for breakfast and the remaining 1/3 for lunch. Over the last few years, however, I would finish the entire burrito for breakfast and still find myself hungry.

Last week, however, the burritos we spent way too much for were not just a bit smaller than they used to be, they were TINY! I think there was more tortilla than eggs and chorizo!

I've only been here twice and honestly I think it's going to stay that way. The burritos are soooooo little (skinny) compared to other Beto's and Rancherito's. I have a Beto's by my house and I normally go there, but I was around the area and stopped by this location and it's just not worth it. I couldn't believe how small they were and if I'm paying $8.00-$9.00 for one burrito, it would be nice if it wasn't the same size as 2 rolled tacos put together. When it happened the first time, I let it slide and went back a second time a few weeks later and still the same thing.
