We went to Thai House to try their food. The food was good, but service was not. When we walked in, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there and another 5 minutes before being seated. The restaurant wasn't even half full. We weren't even brought to a table. A table was pointed out and we were told to "sit there". It was another 10-15 minutes before anyone came to our table. The server brought water and then left without asking if we wanted anything else to drink. Then, another 5 minutes later another server came and asked us what we wanted. We made our orders along with my husband ordering his diet Pepsi. It was a long wait again before food came out and a long time for all the food to come out. My husband got his food first. We all got to sit there and watch him eat for a few minutes before they brought out our third child's food. Eventually, our son's and fourth child's food came out. Finally, when my husband and third child were done eating, my second child's food came out. I got my food when three of my family were done eating and I had to ask for the sticky rice my fourth child ordered because they hadn't brought it out. Once that came out, no server came to our table again. My food wasn't what I had ordered. It was the item on the menu that was above what I had ordered. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. It was fun eating while my family all watched me because they were done already. My son wanted to order dessert, but I didn't want to be there another hour waiting for it. They never brought us a check. I had to go ask for one. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they just recently opened and don't have enough trained help. The food was good, but we probably won't go back for a couple of months to allow them time to get more experience at...
Read moreI was really skeptical coming here. When we pulled up my friends asked "Am I gonna get sick eating here?". We came in at 9, so the restaurant was relatively empty. They immediately sat us down and we started looking over the menu. The prices are really good compared to other Thai places I have been to. Don't be fooled by the menu, the pictures are labeled wrong, so if you see something on the menu you like, make sure to ask before ordering it, because you will likely get something else.
I got the yellow chicken curry, medium spice, drunken noodles, and some pot stickers. The pot stickers and drunken noodles were both really good. But the curry was out of this world! It came in a large bowl with plenty of potatoes, chicken, onions and carrots. I am really particular with my Thai food, and this might be the best Thai food I have had, or it ties with Sawadee in Salt Lake City.
But the MVP goes to the owner who was also our waiter. He was great! Kept our drinks full, brought out more rice 4 or 5 times and would joke with us. It brings me happiness knowing this restaurant is so close to my house. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...
Read moreMan this place is always hit or miss. It's either the spice level you request and no seasoning, or seasoned like you request but no spice level at all or none of the above and it's all a horrible meal. There is no absolute reason our pad Thai should look and taste like it just came off the BBQ grill and burnt when we ordered Pad Thai spicy level 4. Give us what we want and stop messing with our orders. It's as if the people taking orders and the actual cook(s) aren't communicating, nobody is checking if the orders are correct. The fried rice is usually hit or miss as well but as for right now, it just had the correct spice level but there isn't any seasoning. I know this is Utah and 'spice' isn't really a lot of peoples favorites but when people ask for the spice level they ask for, give it to them. You're not paying for the meal, we are, so get it right if you're going to off them. I shouldn't have to fix the pad Thai or fried rice when I order it from a restaurant by adding seasoning or making it spicy because it didn't come spicy...
