A new smash burger place in South Orange! Yay! In the midst of the onslaught of middle-eastern offerings (Jackie & Sons, OMGyro), a good 'ole wings, burgers, and shake shop feels at home with the "girl-next-door" simple American experience.

5/5: The milkshake menus. Beyond your typical vanilla and chocolate, they also offer cereal flavors like cinnamon toast crunch and captain crunch. No weird Chik-fil-A formulas here. Just ice cream, cereal, and milk.

4/5: Waffle fries. Good portion. Nice crunch. But they tasted like they were in the fryer a minute too long. They could also use a tad bit less salt.

4/5: Smashburger. Standard fare. Done well, but he burger patties were too large for the bun.

Now unfortunately I'm getting to why I'm giving this establishment a 3/5.

2/5 for atmosphere. The place wasn't clean. I walked in and the floor mats had what looked to be the remnants of dried leaves. The dessert display looked like it needed a nice tidy up as well. Cleanliness is important for customer impressions and to create a comfortable atmosphere. If the front of house isn't clean, then its likely the back of house isn't clean. So then I start worrying...

First time there. Place was exceptionally clean and service was very pleasant. I ordered the mac and cheese burger and a no cap'n crunch shake..... FOOD WAS ROCKIN! Tasted so fresh, good quality meat was used for the burger , fries were great and the shake was fantastic. While I was there another customer who was there yesterday for the first time came back and said it was so good yesterday he had to return today. After eating there I can absolutely see why. This place has gained a loyal customer out of me and I will definitely be back often. Stop reading and start eating!! Go visit...

Last night we came to grab dinner. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich, my partner chose the single pattie smash burger, both of us ordered waffle fries. I could not give full stars because no ketchup was provided. We assumed it would be in the bag, nope. It’s a shame that a $28 meal doesn’t get condiments. The food is truly delicious, the people who work there are really nice and this could have been an oversight, so hopefully this will be an incentive to ask customers if they need condiments when they are carrying out. The food really was great, I would have given another .5...
