Mike & Anne's — Restaurant in South Pasadena

Wow! Let me tell you about my Delicious breakfast, I ordered the huevos rancheros and I was so pleased that I did. I was a bit torn on what to order, they do have a good selection. I of course asked my waiter if the huevos rancheros was something he would recommend and he with no hesitation said "yes, they are amazing" so of course I had to try.

Let's go back a little... every Saturday morning my Running Academy and I get up extremely early and run miles, this Saturday morning we ran 18 miles and ended our run right across from Mike & Anne's so we decided to sit down and grab a bite. We were immediately greeted and seated by the awesome and friendly staff. While we patiently waited for our food the server was fast and efficient with the drinks and continues refills of water. The place was very busy (indoors & outdoors) but after asking they say it's always busy on weekends and especially on weekend mornings but that didn't seem to stop or slow down the great service. The atmosphere is differently alive and sitting outside you get a great view of the pretty city.

The location is in a great area lots of stuff to do before or even after your dinning, shopping and dessert (ice cream) stores are all walking distance the train (gold line) is also just a couple minute walk from here. They have ton of street parking all around and it didn't look to overwhelming to find a spot.

Back to the food LoL plates started coming out and everything looked so good, as we stared to eat and chit chat everyone was very satisfied and getting full with what was ordered. The best part and what makes great service, our server checked on us a couple of times to make sure we didn't need anything else and to top off our drinks.

I will definitely be a returning customer and will be bringing friends and family here for a good...

Mike & Anne’s has quickly become one of my favorite spots for lunch or brunch. The beautiful outdoor patio dining area is perfect for enjoying a meal in a relaxed and charming setting.

I recently had the Asian Chicken Salad, and it was absolutely fantastic. The salad dressing was flavorful, and the portion of tender chicken was generous. They also offer a variety of healthy options, such as Anne’s Chopped Salad, which is an oversized bowl of romaine, chicken, bacon, avocado, blue cheese, and green goddess dressing. Another standout is the kale and quinoa salad, made with edamame and red grapes, which adds a unique twist.

But Mike & Anne’s isn’t just about breakfast and brunch. Their top-notch burger is a worthy competitor in a town known for its Big Boy Burgers. The house creation is topped with Swiss and blue cheeses, a sort of Bermuda onion stew, and ultra-crispy shoestrings on the side. The meatloaf sandwich, topped with Swiss, is another must-try, even if it seems like gilding the lily – it tastes absurdly good.

The people here are friendly, and the service is great. Parking is on the street, which can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s worth it. While the prices are a bit on the high side, the generous portions make it a...

Food is good. Service is friendly, but... Later at night, super inattentive. Twice we've dined and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes just for a server to come greet us after seating. Similar delays throughout, but most egregious is that both those times as well, after our plates were cleared, we were simply abandoned. No dessert, no check. We waited 30 minutes (kept track, not exaggerating) before my girlfriend went to the host stand to ask the host and manager where the server was. They ignored her for several minutes and kept on their conversation. Finally she had to actively cut them off and ask. They sent her to the bartender for an answer. The bartender had no idea we were still an active table, and that the server was gone, leaving whatever he had active in her care, but apparently not informing us or her. Same today minus the attempt with the hosts. I work in restaurants as well, which is why I restrained myself from just walking out on the tab for that, but it would have been embarrassingly easy to have done just that; both times. So go for an early dinner and don't sit inside, otherwise your service will be slow, and you'll have a very easy, and tempting window to stroll out of there and gain...
