Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in South Plainfield

I haven been going to Rita's my entire life never have i ever come across such a rude cashier. I was at the Location 1901 Park Ave South Plainfield, NJ 07080. The Cashier on the receipt says McFarland. The Cashier I received was an age 60 + year old woman that was very rude. She was the manager acting unfriendly. My son order a Large Ice and she brought him a small. When he asked for a Large again she argued with us saying we did not say a small over and over. Instead of just fixing the order she got wrong. Then after she corrected the order, she said to my son again, "You said a small " and closed the screen in his face. This is extremely unprofessional , rude and down right wrong. I was at the South Plainfield Rita’s location yesterday afternoon and a group of African American teenagers refused to wear their masks, they were there for a while since their order was kind of big. They kept shouting and talking to the employees thru that little window space that is supposed to be used to place and expedite the order. I am surprised the girl who served them didn’t require them to wear a mask I think it’s very unfair for us the rest of the customers waiting in line to be served in a window possibly exposed to the virus and on the other hand seen that sadly the rule it’s not applied equally. Please train your employees on the important sanitary regulations in food...

Expensive. I paid 7 Dollars and change for a mango Gelti. In Plainfield the same size is 4.90. 5.20 if taxes. I think that Older lady there is putting the difference in her pocket. I always go to Ritas in different cities. I found out Ritas is privately own. Be careful with this one. Because the Plainfield on terrill road is so much better. Better prices and better service. , North Arlington , East Orange , Irvington, Metuchen nj. Doesn't charge 7 .89 for even the Large one. This one is a Rip off .... With their prices. That older lady tell the younger girls to charge more. I will never go back there. Be careful. Watch the prices....
