Aroma Joe's — Restaurant in South Portland

I wish I could give this a negative. What a bad experience! We went through the drive through last night around 6 pm. We ordered what we order every time we go to Aromas. Large , Irish cream latte. Little extra Irish cream. I always drive away happy with a delicious drink after a friendly interaction. We drove away and my drink was undrinkable. The espresso was so bitter , like burn your tongue with the bitterness. It was ... Gross. Because I couldn't drink it, I went back. I hate going back but when you spend 5 bucks on a drink, you want it drinkable. Well..... They treated me like I've never had an espresso drink🤦 , telling me espresso tastes like that... And that they are going to make a mini version of my drink so I can figure out if the Irish cream syrup is bad or the shot is bad?? Like seriously??!! I get this drink every day. And to add, I'm a barista! It was so uncomfortable and incredibly awkward. No apology, no understanding... Just bad service. The manager was there and wow. Just wow. I know aroma Joe's does not reflect this experience in a whole. I will never go back to that location. Miserable. Seems that the morale is...

I was a big fan, but found a red haired manager with glasses very offensive. When I asked about the refill policy she told me it was full price. She then proceeded to trash people who buy ice coffee to her coworkers. I was the only customer in the store and drinking an ice coffee. Aroma joe’s should stick to drive through, if they cannot hire staff with basic manners. I will no longer buy Aroma joe’s overpriced coffee again. Ice coffee is 1 dollar at Cumberland Farms. The worst aromas to go to in Maine just went through the drive-through and I drive part of my job, and they couldn’t put cream cheese on my bagel and put it into a sandwich then they can make other sandwiches and they said it’s against their policy wouldn’t recommend this aromas. Seems like what a lazy person would say. You want tips so badly given the 4 tip boxes outside both windows. But can’t even do a simple task of putting cream cheese on a bagel. Insanely ridiculous.
