Al's Corral Bar — Restaurant in South Saint Paul

Introduced (except for Fly) some old Aggie pals to Al’s Corral. Took over 2 tables in the back and settled in for an afternoon of yuks along with a few rounds and burgers.

How can you not feel at home here? Classic pine interior, well-worn bar and stools – you’ve been to somewhere like this already, this time it just happens to be in South St. Paul. A few well-spaced TVs and Touchtunes music add to the atmosphere (“Amazing Grace” on bagpipes brought a tear to the big Irishman in our company).

Nothing fancy – just an honest joint with honest owners and patrons.

Maybe the best burger (hot off the gridle) deals in town and daily happy hour(s) make Al’s hard to beat.

Erin was our bartender, waitress and cook and she provided first class service to this low-class bunch.

Thank God there’s still places like Al’s Corral.

A small dive bar with 4 beers on tap (Bud Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Golden Light and Coors Light). A few smaller TVs behind the bar if you want to watch a game. I may have to give it another chance but our first experience was a major let down after reading the great reviews. We tried the steak sandwich and the burger. Both were pretty below average.
