Update: Just got done having my go to. 2 Double Cheeseburgers. I get surprised everytime, Burgers were to notch. Are they 100$ Craftburger, did it come from a truck. Nope none of that, they topnotch 8$ burgers. Can't go wrong here, Chicken is best in the Twin Cities, service is fantastic. Besides the coleslaw which just isn't for me their food is comfort and priced right. My only complaint is wish they were next door. Ok so only 6 or 7 blocks away, but my only complaint. When you go, prepare yourself. You will get what you order and everyone here is smiling and happy to help. The only bad thing I have to point out. 👉 . Yep Was there a cpl weeks ago on a Saturday and as I was leaving I saw two women eating chicken dinners. So I stopped and asked, they had thumbs up. Went on Monday to have the chicken, guess what pizza ranch you just got bumped to 3rd place as The Coop is my #1 go to for chicken. Well and burgers, coneys, and pretty much anything else on the menu. I should add the staff is wonderful, always smiling no matter how...
Read moreI've been supporting this restaurant on and off over the Covid time because I like their fried chicken dinner meals. I've never tried anything else and I guess I am missing out on the onion rings! I usually order the 12 piece dinner deal because I want the left overs! (reduced price on Mondays and Tuesdays) Their chicken tastes great as it has for years. I have a little bit of a drive to pick it up but I don't mind. The only thing missing was the butter for the buns and the napkins! I guess I did see the napkins in the lobby so I could have picked them up myself. The price for this deal was $43.00 which included two pieces of carrot cake for dessert. Do not miss this cake if you like carrot cake! This time we tried the potato wedges and they were great. We usually request no salt added fries. This might be a little expensive for our dining budget but these days prices are going up. Don't forget to leave a good cash tip in the bucket by the carry out credit card payment area. ($5 only buys one...
Read moreWhen I read the menu in the front window I wasn't impressed but decided to give the place a shot. Speaking to the gal at the counter all items are made fresh (whatever that means for pulled pork) not quite sure? Food took quite a while for being only customers there. We were sitting out front and instead of bringing our food another gal walked outside and said your food is ready. Why she didn't just bring out the to go boxes I'll never know. There are a lot of claims to this being a landmark restaurant, but I have had better pulled pork at just about every graduation party I've been to even in the case of a DIY roast. Bun was sesame seed and mass produced. Maybe 3-4 oz of meat with dried up bbq sauce and mass produced french fries. Also had bbq ribs that were boiled beyond recognition and had consistency of wet tofu. Sauce was decent with plenty of smoke. I would not stop here again if in the...
