If you are looking for a Mexican restaurant that delivers on putting out the most fun vibes with the decor and atmosphere, please visit here! We visited around lunch time this past Saturday and it was fairly packed! It seemed to be that most of the crowd there seemed to draw for the buffet, but we decided to order off the regular menu which worked in our favor because everything we ordered came out pretty quickly. To start with some drinks, my husband and I both ordered margaritas; I ordered a Mango Margarita and my husband got a regular Lime Margarita. The drinks came with cute plastic hats on top, which I thought was so funny. As far as the flavor goes, they were fairly syrup-y and the ice wasn't ground down a ton, so you definitely needed to stir it quite a bit to try and get a balanced sip. I did end up ordering a Mango Daquiri as well, and I preferred that drink a bit better over the Margarita! For lunch, I ordered the Enchiladas de Camaron and my husband ordered the #8 Combination platter that came with a Chile Relleno, Chile Verde Enchilada, and Rice & Beans. All the food that came out had very large portions that were near impossible to eat in one sitting. The quality and flavor of the dishes were good, but not over-the-top amazing. As far as cost for the quality, it was about spot on! I wish there was a bit more spice to my dish in fact, and was slightly disappointed that the restaurant didn't have any spicier house made sauces to offer outside of the table salsa, and bottled hot sauce. Would I still return here? Absolutely! I think the energy and decorative appeal of the restaurant sets an atmospheric tone that makes you want to return. I also think it's super commendable to have a completely vegan buffet one Friday of every month as that isn't common to find. I look forward to trying that out as well one day!

While the decor is nice and wait staff courteous, the food is just another plate of shredded beef, sparse cheese, bland refried beans and colored rice. This is no Red Iguana serving much tastier authentic food for less! Big platters cover up the average sized servings at exorbitant prices! The menu? Its loaded with meals at a price point of $12.99 up, with most meals clocking in at $14.99. The entre chips are thick and greasy. Try not to bloat on these before a very overpriced bland and tasteless Mexican plate arrives! On having your drink refilled? Don't do it. You'll be charged for an extra soft drink at $3.00 a glass - and - the refill comes while you still have 1\3 or more in your first drink. While I love the decor and warmth, the murals contrasting authentic looking tile floors, wooden booth and a fiesta color scheme, this place is way overpriced in the market. Its easily the most expensive Mexican themed restaurant off State Street in the dive city of South Salt Lake.

Fantastic authentic Mexican restaurant with fun, festive atmosphere. Vegan friendly! Authentic, beautiful music. Each chair in half the restaurant has colorful artwork on the back. Buffet is delicious and fresh. But DON'T ORDER THE BUFFET AFTER 7:30 pm. It closes at 8 even though they are open much later. They sold me the buffet at 7:45 and I didn't realize this. Unfortunately, they don't bring out new food at the end and several things were empty. Everything I tasted was delicious but that was disappointing. Hours: Mon. to Thur. 11am - 9:30pm Friday. 11am - 10pm Sat. 11am - 11pm Sunday. 11am - 9:30pm ~LUNCH SPECIALS~ Monday to Friday 11 am - 4 pm Smothered Burrito Special Taco Tuesday: All Day Wednesday All you can eat Vegan Tacos All day For $9.99 Monday to Friday Chicken Fajitas only $9.99 with rice and beans ~BUFFET HOURS~ Friday (Vegan Buffet) 5 pm - 10 pm Saturday & Sunday Authentic Mexican Buffet: All Day

Went there recently for the first time and the place was packed. Although most everyone was getting food from the buffet. I don't trust buffets after getting sick almost every time I used to eat at one.

We ordered off the menu when we went there. The prices were a bit higher than most restaurants nearby, and the pictures looked great, plus it had mostly good reviews on Google Maps. Just like another restaurant we were duped into going to, this one disappointed. The service was friendly, but very slow. We were there for 50 minutes, but it really only took us about 5 minutes to find what we wanted and 10 minutes to eat.

The beans were bland, they tasted like straight up pureed beans with no spices/flavors added. And the rice had just a hint of any kind of flavor. I still don't know what flavor they put in the rice there was so little. The enchiladas I got had chicken in them with cheese on top. The only part of my meal that tasted any bit good was the melted cheese on top of the enchiladas. Both enchiladas had no sauce in them, so it was just cooked white chicken meat, with tortillas. Neither really had much flavor. The chicken tasted like chicken that was boiled in water, just water. And the tortilla tasted like plain, no salt tortilla chips do, no flavor as well. My wife tried them and I didn't say anything to her about it before we left.

My wife's meal was mostly bland too. She got a crispy taco with a chile relleno. I did try her meal and at least her crispy taco was ok, but it still wasn't better than what you'd get at Del Taco, Taco Time or Taco Bell. She ended up not eating most of her meal. Both of us didn't eat much of it even though I hadn't had breakfast that morning and was starving. I ended up not eating much else the rest of the day because I started to feel sick after. My wife and I both had some digestion issues afterward and talked about the food after.

I don't really like talking about bad food in the restaurant because we don't want to upset the staff or anyone around while they are working and customers are eating. So when we left, we talked about it and found out both of us hated the food. We're both disappointed with the taste of the food and especially the price. The service could definitely use a lesson in speed too. We won't be going back. We haven't found anything in Murray that we like honestly, even though we currently live there. We travel to Taylorsville and Sandy for good Mexican food,...

We came here today August 6th to try out the buffet. It was okay. We were not impressed by the way it was just so packed in there that there was literally nowhere to sit they wanted to put us in this booth that was right behind this huge table with a lot of people I mean they were literally inches away from our table and I just didn't feel comfortable doing that. Then they put us back in this huge room in the back of the restaurant where it was jam-packed with people and you couldn't even get through to get to the buffet. It was a really big room and so the noise echoed even louder in there. We asked if we could get a better table and this waiter absolutely refused. We ended up just sitting at a table for eight and they were really mad at us they wouldn't even come back to the table. When the waitress brought us our drinks I asked if we could have some more napkins and she never came back so I went to the bathroom and got paper towels. Not very good service at all I think it's the first and the last time we ever go there. We didn't feel welcome. Some good points are they were making fresh tortillas which was really nice and they had some really nice meat to make tacos with all the fixings for authentic tacos. They had tamales and this Mexican bread and a place to make your own Mexican street corn. They had rolled up corn tortillas with cheese inside of them a few different kinds of meat and sauce that were very tough and four different Mexican soups with meat in them and those were also extremely tough. The only meat that was really good was the meat that was in the tamales and the meat for the tacos. I'm not saying it was horrible I just feel like it was a lot of filler food so that they didn't have to give you any of the expensive Mexican dishes like chile rellenos enchiladas or any of the other...
