Edison Street Events — Attraction in South Salt Lake

I’ve been going here since I was a kid and it was called The Organ Loft. My dad is Blaine Gale, one of the organists for their Silent Films- so I’ve seen them all and we have our family Christmas party there every year. The building is full of history and the movies take you back in time. I highly recommend booking in advance to see the original black and white “Phantom of the Opera” in October each year. Interesting silent movie with organ music! The organist played for us for 2 1/2 hours, King of Kings, non stop, unbelievable, such talent, and he’s not a young man! Edison street theater is one of the lesser known gems of salt lake city. During the fall and winter they show silent movies with a live organist in house.
